Just getting to Applecross is an absolute pleasure, taking you through some of the most awe inspiring and untouched scenery in Western Europe. Physically, we are only two hours drive from Inverness Airport and Railway Station, but spiritually and emotionally we're decades away.... and you can come to us from Kishorn via the Bealach nam Bo the only true Alpine pass in Britain or take the "coward's" way, round by Shieldaig and along the coast. Its never been easier with improved road links from Inverness & Fort William, low cost flights & a rail link to Strathcarron on the west coast line. Scottish Citylink and Skyeways also run a service to Kyle of Lochalsh near to Applecross.

The site location is wonderful, at the end of the Bealach Na Ba and just outside of Applecross. The site itself is quiet and peaceful, there is lots of room to run around but when we visited it was a little on the wet side (almost boggy).
The big problem with the site is that it feels like it needs a little bit more love and attention.
The facilities were okay but they looked like they needed a good clean.

Very disappointing stay - we asked for our money back and left - both times we went to get food from the restaurant on site were just told they had finished serving - very noisy, overcrowded, limited facilities, dark toilets, waterlogged, basic, motorbikes revving their engines at all hours, not child friendly, it is an incredibly long drive, with stunning views, but this area is very remote and the staff will not make you feel at all welcome after your long drive when you are tired and hungry.

What a spectacular location. Amazing views. We stayed in the log wigwams which were cozy and great value. It is a quiet park with some good and bad points.
There is a comfortable and lovely cafe with a large covered flower tunnel. There is a childrens play area with good quality toys. It is a short 5-10min walk from the centre of applecross and the applecross inn which serves great food and has a fantastic atmosphere (be sure to book in advance).
Overall the site is quite small and so does not need many toilets and showers. These facilities were adequate but the floors were dirty and there was no loo roll for both the days we were there. Be sure to bring your own. The staff were always friendly and helpful.
