Seasonal pitches are available at Colchester Holiday Park along with reasonably priced caravan and motor-home storage. As well as being a great location for tourists planning a longer break in order to explore Essex, the site is also a popular overnight stop-off for guests either heading to or coming from the ferry ports nearby.

Hard-standing pitches are offered, electric hook-ups also available. Other on-site facilities include toilet and shower blocks, a washing up area, a launderette, chemical waste disposal points.
There is a children’s play area at the park, along with a number of open grassy areas that are suitable for ball games as well as other fun activities.

Within a mile of the park are a selection of family friendly pubs and restaurants, ensuring that guests are always close to a great location for enjoying something to eat and drink.

The site itself sits in a beautiful section of parkland and many excellent walking and cycling routes head out directly from the park. Spring Lane Park is a short distance away, while a number of other lovely parks and woodland areas are just a short distance from this camping and caravan park and an 18 Hole Golf course with Driving Range, close by, for those who enjoy the sport.

There's also a Roller world in the town and a place to go bowling, plus there's the excellent Go Bananas soft play facility that the little ones will love. Another great day out is Colchester Zoo, where you can see the elephants, penguins, zebras and much more.

This is an ancient, Roman town, so as well as taking in the Roman wall – or at least what remains of it – and the gates, be sure to visit Colchester Castle and tour the museum. Afterwards you might like to enjoy a picnic lunch in Castle Park, if the weather allows, or, as you're just a gentle stroll from the town centre, grab something to eat at one of the many eateries you'll find there.

Just returned from a few days at this lovely site. Staff were so welcoming and friendly, suggested we chose a pitch by the play area so we could see the children play and directed us to nearest shops (2mins away is a supermarket). The site was spotless, showers hot and clean they even have an allocated caravan wash with a tower so you can clean the caravan roof properly! Very impressed. We visited Colechester zoo which is also minutes away and was a fabulous day out, there were plenty of restaurants nearby and we went to the local cinema, handy to have if weather is wet. Will definitely be visiting again very soon! Thank you.

we spent all the season on this site and it was first class, staff and owners could not do enough for you.It is on top of the A12 but this is shown on the map on the Internet so why people have the nerve to comment on the noise is beyond me.The shower blocks are first class and all you have to do is let one of the staff know if all is not right and they are on the case.I think this is one of the best sites i have been on, well kept and they keep the bad types out well done to you all and keep up the good work. We stayed here for two nights. Warm welcome, excellent pitches and spotlessly clean toilets/showers. Only drawback with this site is that it is on the slip road to tha A12 - traffic noise is high and constant. Despite this it is an attractive well managed site with excellent security. Convenient for visiting the area and useful en-route!
