Holidays in Lancashire
The dramatic scenery of the Forest of Bowland provides a spectacular setting for walks, hikes and bike rides. Make your way into one of the traditional stone villages that dot its landscape to rest your feet and relax with a drink in a traditional pub. For shops, restaurants and tearooms, head to the ancient local market town of Garstang, which also hosts a bustling Thursday market and is the home of the award-winning Garstang blue cheese.
The historic city of Lancaster is a short journey north. Looming over its medieval streets are the turrets and towers of its magnificent medieval castle. Wander the paths and woodland trails of Williamson Park on the city’s outskirts for panoramic views that stretch over Morecambe Bay up to the distant peaks of the Lake District.
For sandy beaches, a zoo, a theme park and traditional seaside amusements, drive the short distance to Blackpool.
Onsite, there is a fishing lake and an all-weather bowling green. All pitches have their own private driveways, gardens, concrete bases, telephone points, broadband and Sky TV. The park is open year-round and watched over by 24-hour CCTV, and boat hire is also available.

This park is a very relaxing place to be it has bowling on its very own lake!!! OMG, and than the canal beside the park is what Lee is to Lancaster. It is very good for middle aged people and I visited it in 1998 and it was very very appalling and then I went back in 2008 and it was A!! And im thinking of buying a caravan in a year or to. It is a pleasure to Mr and Mrs Mccarthy. It is spot on. You could't ask for more than that now could you next to the canal 2 miles from Garstang and 5 miles not even that to the great city of Lancaster Send a greeting to the owner for me. Many thanks.

my grandma has a caravan at smithy leisure park and i visit once a year, the park is very nice and peaceful and perfect if you are retired and want to visit places. All the people who have caravans there are very nice and friendly and they always say hello if you walk past them, all the staff are very friendly aswell and if you have any problems with the site they will help fix them problems. all the caravans are luxurious and cozy with fitted kitchens, sofa's, beds and cupboards. If you are looking for a site to but a caravan on this is the caravan site for you. Smithy Caravan Park, Lancashire.
