Haywood Farm Caravan And Camping Park
Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Haywood Farm is a family-run caravan park and campsite in Herefordshire set on the edge of a forest. The wild England-Wales border region in which the park lies is one of thick ancient woodlands and steep-sided river valleys overlooked by the ruined turrets and towers of mighty medieval castles.
A few miles west of the park, the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty extends over the winding gorges the River Wye has cut into the landscape, and the hills, cliffs, woodlands and river meadows that stretch beyond its banks. A short distance south is the Forest of Dean, one of England's last major expanses of ancient woodland. To the north stand the wildflower clad slopes of the Malvern Hills with their panoramic views of the surrounding counties. This region is fantastic for walking, cycling, canoeing, and taking in the incredible scenery that has inspired writers and artists for centuries.
Dotting these local landscapes are numerous charming market towns. Visit nearby Ross on Wye and Ledbury for independent shops, cosy pubs, local restaurants, a gentle pace of life and picturesque old-world charm. National Express have ranked both in the top 10 of the UK's best-loved market towns.
Haywood Farm's spaciousness ensures a peaceful onsite atmosphere. There's plenty here to keep children entertained too, including a play area, a games room and a football pitch. Owners are welcome to bring their pets. The local pub and village shop are just one mile's pleasant stroll down the road.
The park welcomes tents on open fields, and tourers and motorhomes on hardstanding and grass pitches, some with electric hook-ups. Seasonal pitches are also available.
