Dogs are welcome, and there are a few dog-friendly holiday caravans to rent here. When you rent the self-catering holiday lodges and static caravans they come with furniture, a digital TV and DVD player, gas central heating, double glazing and fresh bed linen. This really is a pretty site, and the different areas are separated by flowering rose hedges. As the name suggests, this family owned holiday park overlooks the beach, between Aldeburgh and Dunwich. You can walk straight down onto the unspoilt beach directly from the park. There are camping pitches for small tents, motorhomes and touring caravans at Beach View. There are also some seasonal pitches you could rent for the entire season from April to the end of September, if you fancy towing your caravan here (or having it delivered) just once, and then using it as your holiday home for as many breaks as possible to make the most of all your free time! For an extra fee you can extend the season to October if you wish. Seasonal pitches have to be booked and paid for in advance. Facilities for touring caravans, tents and motorhomes are excellent at Beach View Touring Park. You'll find a level, well-drained field with 60 pitches to choose from. They have electric hook-ups and there are plenty of fresh water points available. The wash block is modern and offers toilets, free hot showers, laundry facilities, a washing-up room with use of a fridge and freezer included in our pitch fee. There's a separate toilet and shower room suitable for disabled campers too. There's a chemical disposal point for toilet cassettes. Unfortunately as the campsite is on septic tanks, there is nowhere for motorhomes and RVs to empty their grey water tanks at the site. In the summer there is a little clubhouse bar in the lovely house and terrace overlooking the sea. The terrace is a great place to enjoy coffee and plan your holiday activities, or just relax to the sound of the waves. In the basement is a family games room. Wi-fi is available in the touring area for a small extra fee. From here you can easily visit Aldeburgh, famous for its classical music and arts festival in June and Dunwich, the quiet place that was once a thriving port. Visit Southwold, with its lovely colourful beach huts, pier, boating lake and sandy beach. Go to Thorpeness to see its iconic House in the Clouds and enjoy the beach, and see pretty little Walberswick village on the River Blyth. This stretch of the Suffolk coast attracts families looking for great beaches, birdwatchers, treasure hunters with metal detectors and all those who love to explore the marshes, wildlife havens, art and music of this area where the coastline is constantly being reshaped by the sea. The campsite is on Sizewell Common, so it is fairly close to the large power station at Sizewell, a tourist attraction in its own right. Sizewell B Visitor Centre is open from 9am to 4pm from Mondays to Saturdays (01728 653974) and if you take the free tour you'll find out that this is Britain's only pressurised water reactor. The beach right next to the power station at Sizewell boasts a popular beach café and is busy with holidaymakers and dog walkers all year round. Opposite the entrance is the Vulcan Arms, a pub with a humorous sign depicting a volcano and everyone's favourite Star Trek Vulcan, Mr Spock.
