Park Reviews
Add A ReviewIts just over a year since our last visit and I have to say that there have been great inprovments , This is a lovely well laid out touring park with all the things you need . Staff worked hard to keep everything clean and due to bad weather and grass cutting it made the job harder but they did very well. The entertainment had also got better , 3 different acts on 3 nights , so thats good.I also like the jugs in the bar 4 pints, saves going back and forward to the bar and its cheaper . Children loved the pool and amusmants, we also enjoyed the full bowling lanes . You cant get to the beach now but you can go up the road to the beach so not to bad. Food was very good and we all enjoyed it,They also did me a take out meal for my wife who was not well ,top marks for that. All in all I have to say that I would give this 4 star. The only down side again is they dont keep a eye on the pitches, People using plastic sheets for ground sheets, my pet hate, I have always used a breathable and make sure all my Friends and family do also and thats a lot of caravans in all.its not rocket science ,they kill the grass and leave a mud patch for the next one to use the pitch. THINK BEFORE YOU USE PLASTIC

My fiance and I stayed for 2 nights at Skipsea Sands caravan park in the middle of June 2008. We arrived late to the site but were able to locate our welcome pack and our barrier key in the bar area with one of the members of staff who were most helpful. The site was very clean and tidy and well laid out. Park Resorts had only taken over this site this year but appear to be carrying out some renovation works to improve the facilities already. My fiance spent many happy times at this site as a child in a static caravan owned by his parents so it was nice to come back and see how it had changed. We found our touring pitch and were pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the pitches. We had full hardstanding for the caravan and a space for the car. It was not possible for us to erect our awning though as the hardstaning extended across most of the pitch. The pitches are separated by little hedges with colourful flowers and the layout is very aesthetically pleasing. We were close to one of the two toilet/shower blocks and were impressed with the standard of facilities. The site has many different ways to stay entertained, the best being the lovely swimming pool with its beautiful underwater mural on the wall. Entry to the pool and the club are included with the site fees which is very good value. The laundry was excellent and the site even has its own hairdressers! On our last day we enquired about staying a little longer to make the most of our stay and were offered a 6pm checkout for jsut £3.50. We really enjoyed our stay at Skipsea and will most definitely be back.
