Lake District Holiday Park
Lowther Holiday Park is a luxury holiday park in the Lake District next to Lowther Castle in the Eden Valley.
Set in over 50 acres of beautiful woodland, this riverside park features stunning river-fronted holiday homes for sale and a selection of holiday lodges, glamping pods, static caravans and tent and touring pitches for that are ideal for family holidays or couples.
Accessed from the picturesque village of Eamont Bridge, the holiday park has a mile long new laid tarmac private drive lined with mature trees, and the long and winding Lowther river, where you can fish for salmon and trout or just wander along accompanied by the native red squirrels, wild rabbits and birds.
Luxury Lodges and Holiday Homes
Lowther Holiday Park comprises mostly luxury lodges and holiday homes. On site there is a lovely family-run restaurant and bar, with Sky Sports and summer outdoor entertainment. A fully stocked Mini Market, which also supplies essential camping equipment and gas.
Touring Pitches
We have a limited number of exclusive seasonal touring pitches, along with a small accessible touring caravan and camping field.
Our exclusive seasonal touring pitches, which are located on the south westerly area of the park, come in various sizes and are typically 1,300 square foot, big enough for most touring caravans or motorhomes.
Our regular touring pitches are either slate hard standing, set in a woodland coppice, or slate pitches in an open area. We also have a limited number of grass tent pitches and 2 log camping pods.
The pitches all have modern electric hook up points and there are two modern toilet blocks within an easy 5-minute walk if needed.
Things to do in Penrith
Lowther Holiday Park is surrounded by beautiful locations; Penrith, the historic market town and castle, along with Beacon Fell, Ullswater, Haweswater, Askam and Pooley Bridge.
The park is just 2 miles from the M6 at Junction 40, and a mile and a half from the A66, which gives you quick and easy access to both the Lake District and also Yorkshire Dales, as well Hexham, Barnard Castle and beyond.The park has a variety of fantastic attractions close by including a quiet and relaxing river and woodland walk to Lowther Castle, which is just next door.
Attractions within walking distance include Askam Village and Askam Fell Loop, Ullswater and Pooley Bridge, Historic Penrith, market town and castle.

From North/South from junction 40/M6 take the A66 towards Scotch Corner for 1 mile then take A6 south for 1 mile. Lowther Holiday Park Gate House is located on the right, 300Tds after the small roundabout at Eamont Bridge. From East/West from A66 at Penrith Roundabout take A6 south for 1 mile.

Our favourite park in the whole of Britain. Secluded, immaculate and a pub with grub. Stay here every year whilst travelling because it's undoubtedly 5 star.

i have been going to this lovely site for many years since my daughter was small i now have a son aged 4 and will carrying on going here . we now have our caravan there as a seasonal tourer we like it that much . over the years my daughter and our family have gained many new freindsat this site because it is such a lovely place staff are also freindly toilets clean ;grounds litter and dog fouling free it is a pleasure to be there .i find as you turnin to go up the drive every thing seems to go in slow motion because you feel so relaxed with the surroundings. it doesnt matter how many times you visit we can always find somewhere to go or something different to do and keep you busy. and my childrens pleasure is playing on the pitch to be greeted dy a hare,a couple of ducks ,rabbits or a squirrel just walking past them or just watching them it is a great feeling to see this so all i can say is lowther hoilday you are a tip top site

We visited this park early june, we had a lovely time, this is the 2nd time we have been and would go again. The shop on sight was well stocked. we were parked next to the play ground so was ideal for us, being able to watch our 2 children. The bar on sight was also nice, friendly and relaxing. i would rate this park 9/10

Stayed here for 4 nights. The park is just beautiful. Extremely well kept, beautiful surroundings, it’s just so idyllic. The staff were really nice and friendly. I would definitely return.. The only downside… (which is nothing to do with the park) but dog owners! Not everybody likes dogs…they should be kept on a lead. 2 dogs went for my husband! Everybody had dogs on leads…except our neighbours… they thought they were exempt! BUT, apart from that, definitely will return

Fantastic place to stay ! Dog friendly place too! Friendly people and mini Market and pub on site even a laundrette too. Lovely views and things to do . Highly recommended. Joanne Bennett

Not too happy with the number of very poorly marked speed humps on drive in. Can understand the need for them on site but not on the long drive. The barrier to get into the site is badly thought out with an awkward keypad to negotiate? Lovely site nonetheless and will revisit. Tom Rodwell
