Park Description
A beautiful adults-only touring caravan park in Devon, Woodland Springs is a tranquil countryside retreat in a rural setting in the Dartmoor National Park surrounded by trees and farmland.
Pet-friendly and open throughout the year, Woodland Springs is the perfect base from which to explore the Dartmoor National Park, whether on foot or a bicycle. There is a variety of terrain and landscape to experience, and it's a great location in which to ‘lose yourself’ for the duration of your trip. The park has a small shop and off-licence for essentials.
Pitches include:
- Gravel pitches (all fully serviced)
- Mixed gravel and grass pitches (all fully serviced)
- All grass pitches (electric hook-up or no hook-up)
For those who wish to explore outside the confines of Dartmoor, access to both the north and south coasts of Devon and Cornwall are within easy reach. If you are looking to surf or indulge in other water sports activities, it's best to head north, while the southern coastal areas are home to some of the most tranquil, unspoiled beaches anywhere in England.
Dartmoor and the Teigh Valley are ideal for pony trekking, hiking, walking and many other activities too varied to list.
In addition to outdoor pursuits and activities, Exeter and Plymouth are both easily reachable with a short drive, and both are home to some great shops as well as a variety of bars, restaurants, and entertainment centres. There are also a variety of small, friendly villages situated within and around the border of Dartmoor, many of which have local amenities such as country pubs available for you to enjoy.

Directions
Coming from either East or West along the A30, turn off at the Whiddon Down junction (this used to be the Merrymeet roundabout but this has now gone) and follow the A382 towards Moretonhampstead, this is also signposted Services. Continue to the the next roundabout (do not turn left down Turnpike Road even if your Sat Nav says to) and turn left still following the A382 towards Moretonhampstead. About 1 mile (1.6 kms) from the roundabout you will see the small signpost to Venton with the familiar touring park brown sign, turn left here. Be careful as the signpost is actually just after the turning. We are the second drive on the left. Proceed down the drive and report to reception which is on your left as you enter the site.

Lovely site well maintained by nice people. Adult only site and very quiet and peaceful. Small shop on site with larger shop half hour walk at Whiddon Down Services. Also at Whiddon is the excellent Post Inn PH with good beer and pub grub. Finally beautiful dog walk - best in the UK! Ian W
