We were welcomed to the site by a lovely show of flowers. The site is well maintained. The Toilet/shower block exceptionally clean. Spacious pitches all hard standing and electric hook up. Lovely views. Site owner friendly and helpful. On our visit we did not experience any problems with noise from the nearby railway. We found this was an ideal stop over on our way up north (being near M74). Glasgow and Edinburgh within one hours drive and for those not wanting to drive bus services to Lanark and Edinburgh stop in Abington village about a 10 minute walk away.

located next to the river Clyde was a tidy well set out caravan site, toilet block (portacabin) was ok could have done with a wee wash down every day but the 2 nights we were there never seen anyone clean them. site is great for visiting New Lanark which is only about 20mins drive or Edinburgh 45min drive and also the leadhills mining museum where you can pan for gold. sits next to railway which can be noisy, has a lot of lovely walks/cycling near the village. Abington village has a smal general store which also houses the post office and a coffee shop you have the abington hotel which serves meals and drink would use again as a short break campsite Mount View Caravan Park, Abingdon , Strathclyde
