Poppyland Touring Park

Poppyland Touring Park is situated in the middle of the picturesque village of Thorpe Market which is just 4 miles from Cromer, 8 miles from Sheringham and 18 miles from the historic city of Norwich. The caravan park is sited to the rear of Poppy Cottage, which is a Grade II listed building. Poppyland Touring Park is an Adults Only site surrounded by high hedges and trees making it secluded and peaceful. All pitches are level grass with good drainage and electric hook up. In addition to the touring park there are two holiday cottages for hire which both have their own private enclosed garden. Poppyland site owners, Billy and Pam, are resident in Poppy Cottage and are on hand to welcome you upon arrival and help you settle in. The park is an ideal base from which to explore the North Norfolk coastline, the Norfolk Broads and the surrounding areas. Horning is a quaint riverside village approximately a 20 minute drive away where you can hire a boat for the day or take a ride on a paddle steamer along the Norfolk Broads. Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park are all National Trust properties in the local area. The Poppy Line steam railway line from Sheringham to Holt runs steam trains most days from April to October. Boat trips are available from Blakeney Point to see the seal colonies. Fishermen have the choice locally of beach, coarse or sea fishing. Poppyland is also ideally situated for country walks, rambling, cycling and horse riding with riding stables two miles away. Whatever your interest, be it historic buildings, wildlife parks, military museums or working steam railways - there will always be something for you to enjoy in Norfolk.
