This scenic park in the Western Lake District boasts an ideal location just five miles from the historic market town of Cockermouth, sitting between the Lake District's mountainous landscapes and the beautiful Cumbria coast. The Beeches Caravan Park enjoys stunning views across the Solway Firth and its spectacular sunsets, as well as being perfectly situated for exploring everything the Lake District has to offer.

The park's new super-size annual touring pitches are the perfect place to park up your touring caravan, coming complete with water and lighting and situated amongst the lovely landscaped grounds. The Beeches Caravan Park is an unbeatable holiday destination you'll want to visit again and again.

A variety of on-park facilities make this the perfect place for your Lake District holiday. It's easy to pick up your daily essentials from the convenient site shop, which also includes a Post Office. There's a large children's playground for the kids to blow off some steam, as well as a handy laundry room. And on the edge of the park you'll find the Bar 'n' Bistro where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or a delicious meal.

Ennerdale contains one of Cumbria's biggest forests, as well as a deep glacial lake with beautiful clear water. The valley of Eskdale doesn't have its own lake, though it is home to the small villages of Eskdale Green, Santon Bridge, and Boot. Wasdale enjoys wild scenery and boasts England's deepest lake, Wastwater, as well as extending up to England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike. And Dunnerdale, also known as the Duddon Valley, is a tranquil, natural location, through which runs the beautiful River Duddon.

The market town of Cockermouth is just 5 miles away and is well worth a visit. Here you'll find the childhood home of famous poet William Wordsworth.

Directions

FROM THE SOUTH Take the M6 to Junction 41, then turn off and follow the B5305 onto the A595. Turn right onto Parsonby Brow after 10.5 miles, then drive into Parsonby and turn left. Follow the road for 1.3 miles and you'll reach The Beeches Caravan Park, on your right-hand side. FROM THE NORTH Take the M6 to Junction 44 then travel on the A689 before turning off onto the A595. Travel on the A595 for around 17.5 miles, then turn right onto Parsonby Brow. Drive into Parsonby, turn left, and follow the road for 1.3 miles until you see The Beeches Caravan Park on your right-hand side.

Just returned from The Beeches, wow great facilities, everything you could wish for on site, shop, post office etc, the children just loved the play areas, we shall return to explore the local area more, great coastal breaks with plenty of local walks
