Park Description
Bring your motorhome, tourer or own a home-from-home on a holiday park in Lancashire nestled between Blackpool and Preston. The location of the pet-friendly Oaklands Caravan Park grants easy access to tranquil wetland wilderness, big seaside resort excitement, and vibrant urban entertainment.
Just beyond the park is the Ribble Coast and Wetlands, a protected nature reserve that covers the banks of the Ribble Estuary. The wetlands are home to huge flocks of seabirds including terns and lapwings. Beyond the riverbanks stand the largest areas of dunes in the UK among which live rare wildlife such as natterjack toads and sand lizards. The plant life on the Ribble Coast is some of the most diverse in the country.
The famous seaside resort town of Blackpool with its sandy beach, theme park, iconic tower and huge choice of other amusements is a short drive north. The city of Preston lies nearby to the east. There you'll find a great choice of museums, bars and restaurants and a heritage steam railway. The village of Warton and its shops, pubs and eateries are within walking distance of the park.
Fully serviced hook-up pitches are available as are standard hard standing pitches. All have space for a car and an awning. The park's static caravans are sited on concrete bases and have a parking space and a veranda. They come fully furnished and most have countryside views. Onsite facilities include a children's playground, picnic tables and an enclosed dog exercising area.
