Welcome to Camp Laurent - Camping exclusively for adults. Camp Laurent is situated on the outskirts of the quaint little village of St-Laurent-de Ceris which is based in the beautiful Charente region.
We are a small friendly campsite that offers 10 pitches for caravans, Motor homes and tents.
Our site is situated in 8 acres of beautiful Charente countryside. The river Charente runs alongside our site and boast over 400 meters of riverside frontage. This provides you with the opportunity to fish and canoe at your leisure or just sit while enjoying a glass of wine. There is also a beautiful natural spring which runs through the rocks within the wooded bank that overlooks the river.
Our facilities include ladies, gents and disabled toilet and shower facilities. A swimming pool with a decking and seating area. Washing up facilities and Tourist Information.
Our pool surrounded by a wooden deck allows you to swim or just sit back and enjoy the relaxing ambience of our site.
We are a dog friendly site and there are many opportunities to talk long walks or bike rides, on one of the many cycle routes right on our doorstep.\nThe Charente region benefits from a micro climate which gives us long hot summers with temperatures of around 40 degrees, and makes us the second sunniest region in France. These extend to long warm autumns when it is still possible to enjoy a lunch outside, even in November.
There are many activities and tourist attractions to visit while staying at Camp Laurent. The Lacs de Haute Charente is a 20 minute drive and offers to great lakes that offer you the opportunity to indulge in a variety of water sports, horse riding and much more. The 'Great Lakes' also offer a beach and a choice of cafe's and bars.
The town of Confolens is also nearby which hosts the 'festival de folklore' which had over 100,000 visitors last year and is on 13-18th August this year. Amongst the 15th century medieval houses and 14th century bridge is the river Vienne, where it is possible to canoe throughout the summer. Tennis and golf are also available nearby.
While staying at Camp Laurent there are many other tourist hotspots to visit including Chateau La Rochefoucauld, Chateau de La Rochechouart, Vallee de Singh and Futuroscope.
Surrounding St Laurent de Ceris there are many quaint little villages where you can enjoy a choice of places to eat out. Also to stroll around the many weekly markets where you can go and spend the afternoon shopping.Also we are only an hour's drive from the neighbouring regions of Dordogne and Limousin which have many wonderful places to visit if you feel like exploring further afield. La Rochelle and Cognac are definitely worth a visit.
Another must see is a town called Brantome, which has been described as 'The Venice of France' offering many shops and cafes and eateries, as well as the beautiful surroundings.
