A stunning location on the fringes of the Lake District National Park, Tanglewood was established in 1972 and has become a beloved holiday destination for regular customers who particularly value the warm atmosphere and friendly and professional service.

Holiday Homes in Cumbria

Tanglewood offers spacious, contemporary holiday homes that are fully equipped for premium comfort, comprising large end bedrooms, electric lighting, H&C water, toilet, shower, gas fire, cooker, microwave oven, fridge, colour TV, and panel heaters in the bathroom and bedrooms. All gas and electricity is included in the booking price. The holiday homes are available from the beginning of March to the end of January, with car parking beside each home. Christmas and New Year bookings are also available. (Please note that bed linen and towels are not supplied.)

Pitches for Tents and Tourers

The park also offers 21 pitches for touring caravans, all with electric hookups and water/drainage facilities. There are 10 pitches for tents alongside immaculately clean shower and toilet facilities with underfloor heating and chemical toilet disposal facilities, and a fully equipped laundry. Tanglewood has a licensed bar with a warm and friendly family atmosphere and occasional live entertainment. The park is pet-friendly with dogs welcome on a lead when on site. Holidays in the Lake District on the Solway Coast don't get much better than this.

Things to do in Silloth

Silloth has miles of gorgeous sandy beach for breathtaking sea front walks and there are often events in the summer months, including Silloth Carnival Day and the famous Beer Festival. Silloth has a market day on Thursdays and weekends, and there is a large market on Sundays at the nearby airfield. There is also a golf course nearby. Tanglewood Caravan Park is a short drive away from the Lake District and the famous Gretna Green and you could visit The Devil Porridge Exhibition, Caerlaverock Castle, Lake District Coast Aquarium and have fun at West Coast Karting.
