Erwlon Caravan & Camping is a family run campsite in South Wales with excellent facilities and a warm welcome. Within easy walking distance of the ancient borough of Llandovery and at the foothills of the Brecon Beacons, Erwlon is an ideal base for touring, walking or cycling in South Wales.

You can get to all the primary attractions and coastal resorts in South Wales within a comfortable drive between an hour to one and a half hours, or you can take in a number of circular tours that you can follow to take in the beautiful countryside on your way.

Erwlon Caravan & Camping prides itself on providing a friendly welcome (in Welsh if you wish). The family has been running the park alongside its dairy farm for three generations now and has invested significantly in the campsite in the past few years, resulting in many awards – it has featured in the Top 100 Sites Guide complied by Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome and this website, Caravan Sitefinder, which lists the best campsites in the UK. This site is an ideal destination for motorhomes, tents, and touring caravans in South Wales, and now offers deluxe camping pods with full en suite facilities if you're looking for a glamping holiday.

Particularly popular with young families, Erwlon Caravan & Camping caters for all and includes facilities for disabled visitors and parents with babies. Within the heated amenity block are free showers, hairdryers and shaving points, family rooms that include a shower, WC, washbasin and a baby changing table, plus there's a laundry room and a place for dishwashing. There is also a motorhome service point with black and grey waste discharge, a separate chemical WC disposal and a battery charging point.

This attractively landscaped site is ideal for camping in South Wales and includes "Adults only" and "Family Friendly" sections, children's playground, riverside glamping and "super pitches" incl. hardstanding with individual services to each pitch. Wi-Fi is available across the park. However, the park remains a quiet retreat without the bustle of a clubhouse.

On site, relax outside and watch the red kites fly overhead, spot the kingfisher along the riverbank or even catch a glimpse of a wild mink. If you're feeling athletic, take in a little golf, hire a bike or go fishing – they are all available close by or you can simply take a stroll into Llandovery in the evening for a drink and meal. Visit the local heritage centre and find out about the Bank of the Black Ox, "Twm Sion Cati" or the tales of the old "Drovers" (which explains why Llandovery used to have so many pubs). There are plenty of quaint rural villages to explore close to this superb holiday park in South Wales - even if it's simply for a pint in a nearby pub!

For those with children why not take a tour down the "Big Pit" and go below ground again at the Showcaves at Dan-yr-ogof or even look for gold with a guided tour of the National Trust's Dolaucothi Gold Mines? If the little ones want more excitement, take a thrilling ride at the Oakwood theme park or take a jet boat around the islands off Pembrokeshire. However, if you really want to tire them out, let them go pony trekking or mountain biking instead! There are excellent off-road cycling centres within the vicinity, including Coed Trallwn, set amidst a privately owned forest, as well as several riding centres within 20 miles of the campsite.

This was our first trip with our new to us Motorhome which we've only had for one week, we loved our two night stay at the site & the helpful friendly site wardens, the fact that it's dog friendly & within easy walking distance to the local Co-op & Llandovery itself. The modern, very well equipped, clean & warm shower / toilet building would put many a hotel to shame. T.V. reception was good, although apparently not all channels are receivable, this was not an issue to us. WiFi is available - but we didn't try this. The site itself was very tidy & obviously well maintained & we will return at some point in the future.

very friendly site with excellant manager and manageress. Facilities were very good very clean and with an excellent laundry all heated if necessary. Plenty of open space and play park for children. Within esy reach of the town with its shops and eating places, and an excellent supermarket within a few minutes walk away. Would not hesitate to visit again

This site was a very pleasant, quiet and well presented site. site fees very reasonable. Also children liked the small park on the site. Each hard standing pitch appeared to have its own water supply which I found really good. I Particularly liked the family toilet facilities which I have not seen on many other sites.If there was one criticism of the site it was that the toilets had not maintained the standards of the loo of the year award which it won two years ago, and did have an aroma in the gents and ladies toilets when visiting. Erwlon did every thing it said on the packet. The Wardens gave us a very friendly welcome and nothing was to much trouble. They were helpfull when we needed caravan spares and told us of some nice walks. The site was so peaceful and the toilet facilities were amongst the best we have visited in our 12 years of caravaning. We will return to this site.

We were first time motor-homers and Erwlon had everything we could possibly need as a family with a seven year old son - adventure playground, open space for kicking a football, family rooms with toilet, wash-basin, shower, hairdryer and changing area plus it is close to town. Lots of lovely walks, beautiful scenery, dogs welcome. Hardstanding with electric hook-up and water. Laundry/dish-washing room and a fridge freezer should you need it. A great site and we will definitely be back.

Having just returned to caravanning after a 20 year break! I required a site that would be helpfull not too large, in a good location.We found Erwlon met our requirements in every department, a clean well appointed site, a very warm welcome and excellent facilties. We found the Rees family always ready to help and offer advice, We would recommend this site to all toureres new & experienced alike.
