Holiday Park with swimming pool in Devon
Award-winning holiday park in Dawlish with an indoor leisure complex with swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym plus two heated outdoor swimming pools. Set in picturesque grounds with private woodlands perfect for woodland walks and just one mile from Dawlish Warren's Blue Flag beach and nature reserve, this is one of the best holiday parks in Devon.
Located just 20 minutes' drive from the M5 at Exeter, Cofton Holidays is a five-star holiday park in Devon, only 5 minutes from Dawlish ideally situated for you to enjoy all the delights Devon has to offer.
Our family-friendly holiday park is open all year round, and with over 3 decades experience we know how to go the extra mile to make our guests feel welcome. We have a range of touring pitches; including grass, hardstanding, RV, and Super Pitches. Our RV pitches are 10 meters in width and sufficiently long enough to cater to such specialty vehicles.
Our standard grass touring pitches include electric hook-ups, whilst all of our Super and Hardstanding pitches come with TV aerial points in addition to these. If you require accessible or wheelchair-friendly pitches let us know, and we can accommodate you on one of our easy-access Astro pitches. Whilst Wi-Fi isn't included in the price of the pitch, we have several antenna points across the park to ensure you receive a strong signal wherever you may be.
Our guests enjoy using our modern, clean and well-maintained toilet and shower amenities. Packed everything but the kitchen sink and still managed to forget something? Don't worry, our well-stocked onsite shop has all the camping and caravan essentials you may need in addition to a range of food and drink.
The fabulous outdoor pool is calling your name (open between May and September), and we also have a heated indoor pool, sauna, and the steam room should you wish to warm up during the winter months. Don't forget to pack your trainers! Guests can access the onsite gym, Ashburn Springs, and enjoy over 35 awesome fitness classes with our motivational instructors! Make sure you check out our brand new indoor cycling studio and gym!
Did you know we have an award-nominated restaurant on-site? Amelia's Pantry is so much more than a holiday park cafe, with talented chefs who create delicious meals using the freshest local produce. The Swan Inn is the idyllic country pub where you can sample the finest local ales and ciders on tap - the ultimate dog-friendly location! We also have an array of self-catering accommodations available. In addition to our range of one-, two- and three-bedroom caravan holiday homes we also have a range of coast and country cottages to suit a range of budgets. Take a look at our stunning luxury apartments (renovated for 2018) - complete with stunning views of the Exe Estuary.
Cofton Holiday Park has a lot to offer and with that in mind, it might come as no surprise that it's a finalist in the 2017 edition Top 100 Sites Guide, compiled by Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines together with Caravan Sitefinder. This guide lists the best campsites in the UK as voted by holidaymakers and the expert teams that put the guide together, and this is ranked as one of the best campsites in Devon (no mean feat in a county beloved by caravanners).
Guests commended the site for its excellent and immaculate facilities, the helpful staff, and the reasonably priced food in the on-site restaurant. In addition, this campsite has held a David Bellamy Gold Award for conservation for 10 years.
Cofton is ideal for fishing, with two specimen carp lakes and a further three pools, all of which were completely restocked in 2017. Guests can book a pitch as close as 32ft from the fishing lakes, or you can have glorious views of the valley from the Coombeland field, with 30 acres of parkland to explore. If you've pitched at Cofton Holiday Park for your self-catering, motorhome, camping, or caravan holidays in Devon, you're well placed for exploring this super part of the country.
Exeter is just a 25-minute drive from the campsite and the wondrous wilds of the Dartmoor National Park are very nearby, too. You can also enjoy time on the English Riviera (Torquay is only about a 40-minute drive down the coast).

Park Reviews
Add A Review2nd Stay at cofton, and just as impressed as the first. The site is testament to the owners and the amazing staff, is bigger then it looks from any angle and has a leisure centre unlike no other - its simply amazing. If you want quiet, then you have it with the lake pitches (great fishing according to the fishers I spoke to), and if you want family entertainment its there every evening. Kids will not go wanting for anything. Great stocked shop, great service at the bar, and a chip shop open at peak for those times when a Cadac BBQ just doesnt hit the spot. Shower and Toilet blocks probably need updating but the planning applications are in for that. Great site for families, with loads of options (caravans, Tents, Motorhomes, Statics (all very very new), Cottages, and houses. (and cant forget the BRILLIANT staff - who make the place so welcoming, always with a smile and can do attitude)

Thank you for your lovely comments and we will be sure to pass these on to the staff. We look forward to welcoming you down on a third visit one day.
Just returned today from this park. the accommodation is excellant and the site is clean. Sadly there was no water in the pool and in the games room the pool table was out of order. We were not able to use the family room that is advertised as it had "just been cleaned". We were not able to have hot chocalate in the restaurant at 9pm as the machine had just been cleaned. the bar shuts at 11pm prompt. If you are looking for a very quiet site where the staff keep their distance this site is grea. If you have teenagers and are looking for a fun holiday then this is not the place to go>

Thank you for your review. You stayed with us prior to the completion of our new complex in the Summer of 2012. We now have an indoor pool available all year round, however the outdoor pool is only available from end of May till mid September. We have taken your other comments on board and will certainly learn from them as these can be easily rectified.
Stayed at Cofton for four nights in our family tent. Apart from the weather (rain!) we had a great time. The site is well laid out, great for kids as it has 3 play areas and the large outdoor pool. The shower blocks and toilets for kept clean and there were plenty of sinks for washing up for the tourers. The pitches are well spaced out so ample room for whatever size tent you have

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, we are pleased to hear you had a good time with us.
“Lovely Views, Hilly, Excellent Location, Very Clean, Definately a 4 Star Campsite, but should be a 5. :)†Hi to all who read this. We camped at Cofton from the 7th to the 21st of August. When we originally booked we asked if we could all be together as I was going with my family & we would have 3 tents in total, they said they couldn't guarantee that as it was allocation on arrival, but if we were all booking at the same time then there be more chance that we could all be together, thankfully we were together which was nice. We were camped near the toilet/shower/launderette block which I must say were absolutely clean, although sometimes the toilets would leak water, but that was cleaned up by staff pretty much straight away. I personally ALWAYS ALWAYS shower with my crocs on NO MATTER where I am, but if your not that bothered then showering with nothing on your feet would be fine as the showers had mats on the floor & were cleaned every single day usually in the afternoon as it was just too busy in the morning for the cleaners to do their job. The Launderette was excellent & you don't even need to take washing powder as it's already installed in the machine. It costs £4 a wash which takes 45 mins & 20p per dryer which last about 10 mins. There are also irons in the launderette although I don't know how much they were I didn't use them. The site is absolutely massive & extremely well kept. The pool area is spotlessly clean & is cleaned every morning before they open it at 10am. Our kids grew fins & webbed feet at they were in that much !!!! If you have problems with walking then this site might not suit you unless you are placed on a bottom field, then you'll be ok. The food at the on-site restaurant is very good indeed we ate there quite often & the prices are very reasonable too. The on-site shop has got everything you need & more, from daily newspapers to freshly baked crossiants, fresh milk to tent pegs & this too is very reasonably priced as camp shops go. Some of the bar staff are miserable. The family room above the bar is very small & very hot !!! There is also an on-site chippy which although is a little bit on the dear side it is very good food. Also near the chippy there is an arcade & another launderette with more washers & dryers than the one which we were near. The play area's for the kids are very good, but are NOT lit up at night. You are only 10 mins away from Dawlish Warren which is nice, 15 mins to Dawlish Town Ctr. Cofton is located in a really good spot. If there was anything negative to say about our stay, it would be the following :- Although they have security on site they are only there until about 11pm & if you have problems with noisy people like we did on 2 occasions we should have been able to ring them or go & see them to ask them to sort it out, but as they weren't there we had to sort it out ourselves, Cofton should allow for big parties who want to camp together as that is what camping's all about "all being together", Cofton should allow you to use a gazebo in Peak times as you have paid for that pitch. Overall we had a great time & I would rate it at 7/10. Hope you find my information useful I have tried to pack as much as possible in my review as I could possibly remember, but please feel free to ask me any questions by email if you need to know anything else that I haven't mentioned. Hope you have a lovely time either camping, touring, cottage or staying in a static. ENJOY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stayed August 2010, travelled with family

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunatley our pitches are not numbered and to be flexible with people booking on etc we allocate pitches on arrival. Although we can't guarantee pitches together we do what we can to meet customers needs. Toilets and showers are generally cleaned twice a day - once very early in the morning usually before most campers are up and again later in the day after the morning rush. Our current bar area is being extended for later in 2012 and we hope to have a bigger family lounge area with more on offer. We have security on site until at least 2am during our peak season - they are contactable from the bar whilst it is open plus their mobile number is displayed on the Reception door.
A warm welcome with lots of information and a choice of pitches. First holiday in motorhome and site exceeded expectations. Shower blocks clean with shelving to stow dry stuff in your locked cubicle and drip mats. There is even music in the shower and loos which made everything less clinical as shared facilities. Washing up facilities, spotless. Well stocked shop, very friendly and helpful staff. Two lovely play areas (we travelled with 5 year old) Great fish & chip shop with lovely freshly cooked food. Lovely views and everyone staying there seemed to respect the site standard and 'behave'. Regular bus service nearby with access to Dawlish and Teignmouth. Could not commend this site enough at the time, but since had horrible experience at another site, so felt compelled to praise the site, staff and facilities :)

Thank you for your positive comments and we will be sure to pass your praise onto all our staff.
Arrived at Cofton and were greeted by very friendly staff, we were offered a choice of pitches. Our chosen pitch was level and of a good size. The shower and toilet facilities were always very clean and of a high standard with nice free hot showers. Also on site there is a large open air swimming pool, a bar and restaurant with entertainment, a fish and chip shop which we sampled one evening. Around the site are some nice woodland walks, its a two mile walk through the woods to Dawlish Warren. You can also walk to Cockwood harbour and enjoy a pint in The Anchor or The Ship. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Cofton and would recommend this site, especially so for families.

I found Cofton Country Holidays to be very clean with excellent walks, easy access to the beach, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren and also Torbay. It also has a excellent swimming pool, shop and great entertainment. The toilets showers are clean and plentiful. I have been going there for several years with my children when they were younger and also my grandchildren.

We stayed here last week - end of May - during the horrendous Devon weather but the park was clean and very well looked after. Very pleasant staff with excellent facilities - well stocked and reasonably priced shop etc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We shall definitely holiday here again.

Thank you for your recommendation, we look forward to you visiting us again soon.
We stayed on the park over the Easter holidays. It was our first experience of camping with a family and we had a fantastic time. There is plenty of open space for the children to run around safely. My son enjoyed visitng the donkeys and pony everyday. We ate in the bar a couple of evenings as they had an early happy hour and the food was great. We look forward to returning in the summer so we can make use of the Swimming Pool.

Lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and are planning a return visit soon.
I Stayed at Cofton last year (2005) and i won't ever go back again, the staff are rude and they don't invest any money in the customers. The entertainment was extremely boring and everything is extremely expensive. I recommend not staying here!!!

We disagree with this and take pride in our customer service skills. If at any time a customer is unhappy with the service they receive then it will be dealt with if its bought to our attention at the time. We do not run an entertainments package as that is not what we are about but do have light entertainment in our Swan Pub on some evenings during busy periods.
Guest Book Reviews
We chose to stay at a Cofton cottage during the weekend when there was an Amber Warning for snow in Devon. Personal circumstances required us to leave early and Customer Services at Cofton were extremely supportive and generous in their response to our situation, for which we were very grateful. Although our stay was brief, the cottage was beautifully decorated and equipped and, having stayed at Cofton before, I would really recommend it to anyone.

We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed with this excellent well run friendly site. It caters equally well for couples and families. The reception staff were always helpful and the barman at the Swan was always ready with a laugh and smile!

We bring our touring caravan here regularly and really enjoy the site. It’s a beautiful setting, with grass terracing into the hillside which is just stunning. The complex with indoor swimming pool and facilities is lovely, as is the restaurant. Being gluten free, staff in the restaurant couldn’t be more helpful, and the chef willing to tweak dishes wherever possible to make them GF. There is also a shop, pub, outdoor swimming pool, arcade, a couple of play parks, donkeys and lots of places to walk. Staff throughout the site are really helpful and friendly too. It’s great for family holidays - there’s often entertainment aimed at all ages. Would highly recommend.

Always enjoy our time spent at Cofton, as we have done for the past twelve years. From the moment of being greeted by Lucy and Laura at the reception we feel we are at our ‘second home’ again. The friendliness from Richard and Alex in the bar/ restaurant and in the Swan from Stuart I love the consistency of the attitude given to us guests. We have 9 weeks in total so far booked in to spend with them and we are counting down already. Always impressed with cleanliness of the shower/toilet blocks and the overall tidiness of the whole park. Well done you guys and gals your success is well deserved, you only ever reap from what you sow. ????

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Cofton Farm. It started with a warm welcome followed by a generous pitch. Everywhere is so well maintained and showers and toilets are excellent. The catering and leisure facilities are great, relaxed and friendly. We cycled easily to local pubs and seaside resorts. Even the unexpected snow didn't spoil or experience. All the roads and paths within the site were cleared and gritted ? We will definitely be back.

Look forward to this every year and so sad to leave! We are a party of 12 and growing every year as we recommend. We use the camping (tent) area of the park and I don’t think we could compare this site to any other we have visited, AA++ for all facilities/staff etc. Would highly recommend to all...bring on May!!
- 22 Feb 2018
What an absolutely lovely holiday park! We visited in August 2017, and camped in the Orchard part of the campsite. From the start the staff were friendly and professional, and the check in was easy even though it was really busy. We didn’t mind waiting and the process was smooth. We followed a chap a golf buggy to our campsite and were instantly pleased with look of the the site. We were able to choose a pitch within the area allocated to us. The pitches were quite sandy which I wasn’t keen on, but this could have been to dry the pitch out. It didn’t spoil the holiday though but I will look for a more padded tent carpet. Facilities on site were great. Laundry with ironing boards, well stocked shop, a chippy, lovely swimming pools, worth paying the small charge for the indoor pool too.

Had 5 night stay at cofton holidays touring . The site was very clean & tidy , pitches were very good , all staff were so friendly & helpful, beautiful indoor pool & outdoor one excellent leisure centre , lovely entertainment room great pub ,& great food . My wife had the ccompetition winner meal & said it was fantastic . Great area for exploring devon , even has a fishing lake behind some of the touring pitches , great experience from start to finish . Will go again many times

We stayed at Cofton in our touring caravan (super pitch 21) during February half term. The pitch we had was excellent, great location on the park and very well maintained (as is all the park surroundings). All the staff were very friendly and helpful and it seemed a genuinely nice place to work. There is a good range of facilities onsite for families (the outdoor pool is closed in winter obviously) and both the cafe and restaurant serve great value food. Our children (aged 9 and 6) really enjoyed the week and are already asking when we're coming back next time! The entertainment was great for families in the evening...we find a lot of holiday parks now are always trying to sell you things in the evening (bingo, quiz tickets, raffle tickets etc.etc.) but that wasn't the case here, just simple quick bingo every night and then lots of fun for families. The practical facilities (shower block, laundry etc.) was clean and tidy, unlike a lot of other sites we've been to, where these parts are overlooked. The children's outdoor facilities with 2 x play parks and the woodland adventure playground are also fab - well maintained and good range of apparatus. Other holiday parks could certainly learn a lot from Cofton. Our only comment would be that we would be reluctant to visit during high season as there are a lot of pitches on this site and i'm not sure it would be as enjoyable when the resort is full. If you're considering Cofton for an off peak great value holiday, its pretty much perfect!

We stayed for the first two weeks of Feb '18. the first week was quiet so the staff had time to have a chat. All the staff in Amelia's were very friendly, took time to explain the menu where all the food is sourced locally and they seemed to be very proud of this. The bar staff in the Swan pub were great, knew their beers and always willing to give hints and tips. Thank Richard and Stuart. The second week was half term and the number of guests and children increased accordingly. The staff still remained calm and took everything in their stride. Every area of the site was well maintained, clean and safe. Thank you Cofton for a great two weeks, will be back next year
- 18 Feb 2018
The caravan was very nice and on a Sunday the carver was very nice and well worth the money. you had a good venue from all the site. they have got some good fishing lakes. the resorption staff are very friendly and helpful

Cofton is a great place for all ages, especially the kids. If it's wet there's something to do inside. A walk to the beach or to the harbour. Entertainment for young and old in the evening and delicious food. You'll need to go at least twice to enjoy all it has to offer. We're certainly looking forward to going again.
- 17 Feb 2018
Our third visit to Cofton. First time we’ve used the restaurant, a pleasant surprise it was too, as sometimes they’re not great on campsites. But VERY good here in terms of quality, value & service. Great evening entertainment, well pitched for all ages - bingo, kids disco etc. There was also a really good Adele tribute act during our stay. All staff are really helpful, site clean & tidy, can’t fault it.
- 14 Feb 2018
The motorhome pitch was excellent as were all the facilities at this park. We will be back when the weather improves. We will be bringing the rest of the family next time. Loved the Swan pub and the swimming pools looked lovely if the weather had been better!!!!

We have been visiting Cofton holidays for over 20 years and have stayed in caravans and cottages. Our favourite place to stay as a family is Eastdon house, blue water apartment. This year it has had a make over and they have done a fab job it looks amazing. We always have a nice relaxing break and are supplied with everything you need. Eastdon house is away from the main park so it’s nice and quiet. The main park is just a short walk or drive away with cafe, pub, swimming, gym, fish and chip shop etc. A lovely long weekend and we will be returning again.
