Directions
The B1025 to Mersea Island is liable to flood when the tide is high, but usually not for more than an hour. After crossing onto the island, take the left fork to East Mersea and follow the road to the Dog and Pheasant. Take the first turning on the right. Carry on straight and you'll soon reach the park.
Park Reviews
Add A ReviewThis site is a real hidden gem, if you want to get away from it all this is the site you should choose. Lots of open space right next to the beach with good old fashioned entertainment for the kids with 2 play areas and a huge open field for games, kite flying and dog walking as well as colouring completions and geocaching. There is Wifi so they won't be totally cut off but you may find they are too busy to bother. Award winning toilet blocks with disabled & family facilities. Wardens on duty all day and night to deal with any problems or disturbances from other visitors. I think the person referring to noise and jet skis must have stayed elsewhere as they are not allowed at Fen Farm. Staff are all helpful and friendly and all dogs welcome at campsite, beach, nearby Country Park and in local pub restaurants. There is loads to do in the surrounding area and the fabulous Colchester Zoo is just a short drive away. Get booking to avoid disappointment.

We come at least once a year, usually more - in fact we're coming tomorrow for Easter. Its my favourite site! Really easy - relaxing, clean, and with fab shower facilities! Best of all for me is the lack of amusement arcades! There are fantastic walks, as well as access to a beach. We did once have a bit of a noisy group near us, but a word in the wardens ear - and it was dealt with immediately! Also, they don't allow it to be rammed either - at full capacity it doesn't feel too busy! 😀 x

Absolutley love this little gem in Essex, It has everything you need for a stress releasing break, the site is immaculately kept, the shower block is spotlessly clean and checked on constantly, the wardens, staff and owners are wonderful, helpful and full of local knowledge, I cant praise this gem enough, we came in 2014 and loved it so much we have a seasonal pitch here, what more canI say, get booking, you will not regret it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review
Love this place. Been coming here 7 years now during the school holidays. All staff are fantastically helpful. Park is kept immaculately clean. The shower blocks are great with music too. Never had a problem with noise. The wardens are always on hand if you have a problem and it is dealt with very quickly. My son is 15 and still chooses Fen Farm over any other campsite. Lots of lovely walks to have with the dogs. Beach is good. Again we have never had a problem with jet skis. Looking forward to coming back again in August.

Thank you for leaving us a review, we hope to see you again in the summer.
This is a lovely site, staff are very friendly and helpful. Wardens keep the site quiet after 11pm and the toilet block is fantastic! Kids had space to play and we made use of the grass field to fly their kites. We will be returning :)

Thank you for leaving us a review, we hope to see you again soon
My grandparents had a static caravan on this site. Since then they have made it a touring and camping site and myself and 3 children (1 disabled) and my parents have been camping here. Very spacious and child friendly. The amenities are clean and in excellent condition. The beach is a short walk and there is a pub opposite but it's a quiet site. We have been spending 2 weeks here every summer holiday for the past few years and our children are always asking when we are going back. Simple to book and friendly staff. Suits old and young. And disabled friendly.

Thank you for leaving us a review, we look forward to seeing you again in the summer
Monday to Thursday, quiet and OK, Friday to Sunday it is dreadful, full of unsupervised kids playing between the caravans at cricket, football, frisbies etc. There are gangs of adults boozing and shouting till early hours. Dont bother to report them! Jet skis revving up all day and being driven in and out.

We are very sorry you had a bad experience at our site. Our wardens are always on hand to help with any issues including other campers and keep a tight check on our quiet after 11pm rule. Also, we do not allow Jet Skis on our camping site.
