Lake District Holiday Park
Hillcroft Holiday Park, at Pooley Bridge, near Ullswater in the Lake District will help make your camping and caravan holidays in Cumbria tranquil and memorable ones. This campsite welcomes guests in caravans, motorhomes and tents, and there are 26 touring pitches and 30 super pitches on-site, as well as 30 camping pitches.
Open from 1st March March until 6th January, Hillcroft Park offers the opportunity for a peaceful holiday in the Lake District, this campsite is a great base for exploring this beautiful region. There are also camping pods and holiday lodges for hire, so you don't need to own your own home from home to be able to spend time here.
On site, you'll find free showers, toilets, baby changing facilities, somewhere to do your washing up, chemical toilet disposal facilities, a 24-hour laundrette and gas sales. Let the kids tire themselves out in the children's play area or challenge them to a game of football on the recreational field. Or maybe you'd rather share the campsite's stunning natural surroundings and blissful panoramic views with them by enjoying one of the holiday park's nature trails.
This is also a dog-friendly campsite, with dog walks nearby, plus there is a licensed shop. This is an award-winning campsite. Walkers and cyclists will be in their element here, thanks to the high number of nearby routes, especially in the Lake District National Park. Those keen on a more leisurely break can take a trip to some of the fantastic historic monuments within easy reach of the site, such as the lovely Dalemain Historic House and Gardens. Or maybe you'd like to take a cruise on Ullswater, enjoying the fabulous views from a different angle. The market town of Penrith is around a 10-minute drive from this site, a great place to stock up on your holiday essentials or maybe you'd like to take a break from cooking and have dinner in one of the pubs or restaurants. Even closer is Pooley Bridge, this village merely half a mile from Hillcroft Holiday Park. Or if towns slightly further afield take your fancy, Keswick is only a half-hour drive from this site, Kendal a little further away - it will take about 45 to 50 minutes to drive there. Hillcroft Park offers excellent walking opportunities and easy access to all Lake District attractions plus the park is only a 5-minute walk into the centre of Pooley Bridge and all the facilities Pooley Bridge has to offer. We have a new luxurious shower block as well as private bathrooms available for hire.

Directions
From junction 40 of the M6 take the A66 to Keswick. After a mile, turn left onto the A592, Ullswater. At the lake go left to Pooley Bridge, bear right at the village church, then go straight over the crossroads and the park is 100m on left.
