Park Description
Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park is a wonderful, four-star, family friendly holiday retreat close to the Devon coast.
The park is owned and operated by the Langdown family and is open from late March until the end of October. The site welcomes guests with touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, but also has a selection of static caravans for hire. Seasonal pitches are available for guests looking to return throughout the season or enjoy an extended stay at Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park. Limited caravan storage is available, too.
All of the touring, motorhome and camping pitches at the site are generously sized and nicely spaced to ensure guests enjoy a degree of privacy during their stay. Hardstanding pitches are available, as are pitches with electric hook-ups. Water supplies are fitted across the site and are adjacent to the majority of pitches, while drainage and chemical waste disposal points are found at various points across the park. Wi-Fi is accessible for a small additional charge.
There is a large amenities block at Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park, which has showers, basins and toilets, a dishwashing area and a laundry area. This is a dog friendly campsite, but owners are requested and reminded to keep their pets on a lead and under control, and to clear up after them.
The park’s reception doubles as a convenience store and stocks a small range of essential groceries and camping accessories. Calor Gas and Camping Gaz exchanges are also available here, while battery charging and freezer packs can also be taken care of. In addition, a selection of tourist information helps guests plan their day out across Devon and beyond.
Large sections of open space are provided at the site for families to enjoy ball games, while the park also has a putting green, a badminton net and a children’s play area, as well as a separate field designated for dog walking.
If you visit Devon on your motorhome, camping and caravan holidays and pitch at Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park, you'll not be short of things to do. The nearest town is Sidmouth, found on the coast about 10 minutes from this campsite by car. Here you will find a good range of shops so you can top up on the supplies that the campsite's shop doesn't cater for, plus there are a large number of cafes, pubs, restaurants and bars throughout the town. You can enjoy a wander along the seafront or, if you like playing golf, you could go to Thorn Golf Centre just outside Sidmouth or Sidmouth Golf Club, plus Blackmore Gardens and Connaught Gardens are nice places to walk around.
However, if walking is something you love to do, from here you could also join the South West Coast Path, a long distance footpath which passes through Sidmouth along the coast to Budleigh Salterton and beyond.
There's also a donkey sanctuary a five-minute drive or 20-minute walk from Salcombe Regis Camping and Caravan Park that will make a great day out for the whole family. In addition, this campsite is only a 40-minute drive from the striking cathedral city of Exeter, which is another super place to go for a day out during your holidays in Devon.
