Park Description
Holiday Homes for Sale in Bridport
Newlands Holiday Park is a five-star holiday destination a short distance outside Charmouth, a Dorset World Heritage village, itself part of the larger World Heritage site along the Jurassic Coast. This park is open from early March until early November every year, and guests have a choice of accommodation from which to choose.
There are lodges, static homes, apartments, individual en suite rooms and camping pods for hire, while there is also a large selection of pitches that welcome guests with touring caravans, tents and motorhomes. All of the touring and motorhome pitches benefit from electric hook-ups, while a combination of hardstanding and grass pitches are available. The hardstanding pitches are premium 'super pitches' that also provide water and drainage hook-ups.
An all grass pitch tent field is available for campers, though there is still some availability of electric hook-ups for camping guests.
This is a family friendly park and also a dog friendly campsite. However, if you bring your pets, please remember to keep them under control and you must clean up after them. Other facilities present at Newlands Holiday Park to help guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay include toilet and shower blocks, along with a laundrette facility. The site has a convenience store that stocks a range of groceries and essentials. A small range of camping accessories and caravanning equipment is also available at the shop, as well as souvenir gifts. The shop is open daily from 8.30am during the summer, opening times varying during the low season. There is lots to do at Newlands Holiday Park to ensure the whole family, and especially the kids, stay busy and entertained at all times during their stay.
The heated indoor swimming pool is open all through the open season, while the outdoor swimming pool and water slide opens from the end of May through to the end of August. Two play areas are found at the site and Dino's Den, the indoor area, is specifically designed for younger children, with soft play, ball pits and more available.
The second area is a large adventure playground that is found outside. There is also a large expanse of open space where guests can enjoy a range of activities and ball games. Kids clubs are available on-site for when mums and dads want to take a break and enjoy some child-free time during peak season.
At the end of a day of fun filled activities, guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant. The bar has pool tables and BT Sports showing live televised football and other events, while there is a large outdoor patio area where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink and the views out across Dorset. Live entertainment is also provided on most evenings during peak season, ranging from quizzes and bingo to live music.
Newlands Holiday Park is on the edge of the seaside village of Charmouth, as well as being just a quarter of an hour's drive from the market town of Bridport, a 35-minute drive from Dorchester and within an hour of Taunton. Rather closer and just a 10-minute drive from this campsite and holiday park is the charming coastal town of Lyme Regis.

Park Reviews
Add A ReviewWe stayed here for 10 nights. The site is terraced with verysteep roadways climbing to each terrace level. The pitch we were on did seem on the small side considering we booked a superior pitch which was fully serviced. With the exception of an over officoius Bar manager on the first night we found all the staff obliging, helpful & friendly. The facilities were good, although I experienced cold showers on more than one occasion, which I reported to reception, after which there was no further problem. The shower & toilet block were not cleaned to say the standards of those found at Caravan Club sites They had a well stocked site shop. The evening entertainment was good for families especially those like us with small children. There was plenty going on for them, the clubhouse itself was very clean & well kept, as were the soft play areas & indoor & outdoor pools. The whole site was well maintained, &well kept. It was within easy walking distance of the village & beach , & a very short drive to lyme Regis, which was also within walking distance on the beach or coastal path. There was an excellent pub in the village serving first class food, along with other shops which sold just about anything you could want, including a good take away. We would certainly consider returning to this site in the future. Hoylands Yorkshire
