Pierre-Francois and Clare Dupond are waiting to welcome you to Castel Val de Cantobre.....situated in the heart of the Grands Causses Regional Park, not far from the Tarn Gorge and the Cevennes National Park. Just over 30 years ago Pierre-Francois' parents found what they thought would make the perfect base for a camping and caravan site....a medieval farmhouse with outbuildings, next to the Dourbie River with land on the spectacular valleyside. Today we offer you the opportunity of enjoying the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us, as the piches are arranged on terraces looking down the valley and over to the cliff like tops of the gorge. Certain pitches have the privilege of a view across to Cantobre village perched on it's rocky promontory. The farm buildings now house many of the facilities....they're certainly not lacking in character.....the oldest wall dates back to the 11th century! From the moment you cross the bridge over the Dourbie and enter our reception we will do our best to look after you until you have to leave us. On arrival you'll be presented with a folder full of information about the site and the region. We'll then accompany you to your accommodation or pitch. Every morning you can opt for the luxury of having freshly baked bread and croissants delivered to your doorstep. Cleaniliness of our toilets and showers is extremely important for us as we know clean facilities are high on the list of priorities for most campers/caravanners....our staff are on the spot in the washblocks practically all day to ensure the facilities are up to your expectations. To keep you occupied and entertained, we have a varied events programme all season adapted to the visitors at any one time...but we also make sure those just wanting to relax are also respected. Mentioned as early as the 12th century, the fief of Vellas was a hideout for forgers in the 15th century. It is thus easy to understand that the architecture of the premises seems to feature an incredible number of hiding-places, which are all now nicely set off for the different facilities of the campsite. Between the Dourbie and the Causse, the facilities are worthy of an exceptional site.

Set around the former mill of Château de Biron, in a wooded, rural area of 18 hectares, the Sunêlia site Le Moulinal offers all the charms of nature on the edge of a lake. Located in southern Dordogne, this site is an excellent starting-point to discover this region with its prestigious history. Climbing, potholing, horse-riding, mountain biking... The outings on offer are many and varied, without forgetting the children's activities which make this Sunêlia an authentic, friendly place for your holidays.

Close to a small Provencal village, at an altitude of 430m, the Sunêlia site L'Hippocampe welcomes you to a peaceful, preserved 8-hectare area. Set in the middle of olive trees and cherry trees, it offers an unobstructed view over the hills, along a lake populated by birds. With a great many activities and events for kids and adults, it is also ideal for enjoying the nautical delights of the lake or going off to discover the rich heritage of the region.

300m from Clapiers, in the heart of a sheltered complex with plenty of shade, the Sunêlia site Le Plein Air des Chênes offers peace and quiet on its extensive pitches separated by high natural hedges. It boasts a comprehensive range of facilities with its giant water park, a discotheque, a restaurant… and offers a large number of events, all held a certain distance away from the accommodation to make sure nobody is disturbed. Not forgetting the many possibilities for excursions from the site, such as a trip down the Hérault Gorges in a kayak.

Camping Château le Verdoyer, Camping Champs Romain, Camping Dordogne. Set in Champs Romain, a charming little village in the Périgord Vert, situated 15km east of Nontron, overlapping the north of the Dordogne, Limousin and Charente, located in a green, woody valley, at 310m altitude, you will find Château Le Verdoyer. Between Easter and mid-October, a Campsite and a region to be discovered: Calm, Tranquillity, Culture, Gastronomy, Sport… in short: a holiday! Barn Farm with buildings dating back to 1500's, it's a traditional Derbyshire gritstone stock farm, in one of the prettiest villages in the Peak District. Overlooking the beautiful Derwent Valley, the farm is a haven for wildlife including badgers and rare Black Fallow deer. It boasts over 60 species of birds such as Nuthatch, Dippers and Peregrine Falcons. Open from 1 April until 31 October, there are 25 camping pitches and 13 gravelled hardstanding touring pitches at Barn Farm Campsite which welcomes visitors staying in tents, caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and campervans. They also have further fields which they open on certain weekends throughout the season. All pitches for caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and campervans have the benefit of an electric hook-up. Remember your levelling blocks, though, as not all the pitches are flat. Despite the back to nature feel of this small, pretty campsite, its facilities are far from back-to-basics. The clean and tidy washrooms have individual shower cubicles and there is a disabled persons shower room with baby changing facilities. There are also hairdryers and electric sockets in all of the showering facilities.A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in case you need to wash your clothes, there's a fridge and a freezer, there are a couple of places to wash your dishes, there's an on site shop and recycling is encouraged across the site. As well as the natural world to explore, there's plenty to keep the kids busy here during your motorhome, camping and caravan holidays in Derbyshire. There is a wooden play area, suitable for children up to the age of 10, plus a games room, which has a TV, a pool table and arcade games. For older guests, there's even a sauna and a sunbed available to hire! And that's not all, there are also camping barns available at Barn Farm Campsite, handy if you've pitched here in your motorhome or caravan and you're holidaying with family or friends who don't own their own touring vehicle. The camping barns can accommodate between two and 15 guests, and most of your essential cooking and eating equipment is provided. Bedding and towels are provided in some but not all of the camping barns, so it is wise to check prior to arrival. And 'camping' is really a misnomer, as these are quite smart holiday homes, neatly finished and well equipped. With all that available on site at Barn Farm, you might not be surprised to learn that this is an award winning campsite - in fact, it has been rated as one of the best campsites in the UK. The small market town of Bakewell is only about a 15-minute drive from this site, Matlock also about 15 minutes away, meaning despite the 'rural retreat' feel of this campsite, you're never far from civilisation and the conveniences of towns with their shops, pubs and restaurants. Chatsworth House is also just a 15- or 20-minute drive from this campsite, Haddon Hall even closer.
