A first class site that is well maintained and very clean. The owners are very friendly and are always there to help if needed. There is a lovely dog walking area and also a restaurant and bar that is open Thursday to Sunday evenings.

We have just returned from our 10 night stay at Ross Park. What a superb site. I have been staying on campsites since the age of 5 and now aged 36 I can truly say that without a doubt this is the best campsite I have ever stayed on. The facilities are excellent, modern and spotlessly clean. The site itself is flawless and is maintained to a 5 star standard, this includes the grass and beautiful blooms of flowers spread throughout the site. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners even when out of reception hours, they are always willing to help you just have to ring the bell on the reception door. (My hoover packed up and they took delivery of a new one for us while we went out for the day). It was great arriving on site and having the owner put our caravan on our pitch, this definitely took the stress away after a long journey(This is optional). It was also taken off the pitch and parked at reception for us so all we had to do was hitch up(5* experience). It is a very family friendly site with a large childrens play area. They have enough space to ride bikes, fly kites, play tennis or just play on the slides/frames provided. At the same time it is not filled with screaming children through the day or late in to the evening. They offer a Bingo evening and a BBQ/ disco evening in a very nice barn/conservatory, this also has a bar. My children thoroughly enjoyed the bingo and disco. They serve cooked food in the evenings with a varied menu all at reasonable prices. It has a tranquil setting with a relaxing feel and we will definitely be returning. Thank you Ross Park for a 5 star camping experience.

Ross Park, Newton Abbott, Devon is the best site I have ever been too. I have been camping and caravanning now for 40 years since I was a child and this site is absolutely fantastic. The showers/toilets are so clean and well maintained. The staff are sbsolutely lovely. If you are going to Devon I completely recommend this site for you.

What a wonderful clean, and tidy, spacious site, with all the facilities, and a extremely large dog walk with a hot shower and hair dryer for the pampered dog, (essential after a day on the beach). Can't say enough about Mark and Helen, who are both very hands on, but always have time to chat and help.

Ross Park is a wonderful site to stay on. The site itself is immaculate. The gardens, baskets and flower beds are all very well kept and when we were there the flowers were beautiful. The grass is always kept neat and tidy and the nature areas are great for children to explore with information points for the to read on the way round. The bins are emptied regularly throughout the day and the washing and waste points are kept clean at all times. The toilet facilities are the cleanest i have ever seen on a site and if you have babies or small children the bathrooms with baby baths, changing tables and seats are amazing. I don't know how i would have coped without them with my 8 month old!!. I would recommend Ross Park to everyone

Having only been caravanning for about 12 months we tended to stick with local club site which are nice. For our summer holiday we booked Ross Park in Devon. upon arrival we pulled into the site, where the staff promptly unhitched the van for us, hitched it to their small tractor and proceeded to take my caravan to its pitch and level it up absolutely perfectly. This was an absolute delight having traveled for nearly 6 hours. The site itself is absolutely delightful, with avenues of flowers, which are elegantly lit at night to light the path ways.Facilities on site include a bar, restaurant (food was high quality standard), beautiful conservatory which you would think had been taken from Kew gardens. There is a small games room for the children and a well kept play area in the leisure field. The only criticism of this is that it could do with some play activities for slightly older children. For dog owners the park boasts two dog walks, one in the orchard and one larger wooded field overlooking the views beyond. having ventured further afield and tried Ross Park , we have decided to pre book here again for next year. One word - FANTASTIC.

ross park is the nicest and most colourful of parks we have stayed on,the toilet,s and showers are to a very high standard would go as far to say no other park could come close to them, the owner,s helen and mark are very pleasant as well has helpful, the grounds of the whole park are kept very clean and tidy,no longer has a tourer left there pitch mark and his team are there to rake the gravel, and cut the grass if needed,we have already booked for two week this august(2011)also october for a week, and are counting down the weeks to when we will be there.

Spent nearly 2 weeks here and had a great time. On arrival caravan was towed to the pitch and sited by the owner. Lovely well maintained site. A lot of thought has gone into this site. There is even a Cheery tree orchard ad the cherries are free. At the time of our visit there were not many kids staying which was a bit of a blow for our 8 yr old daughter. Only downside would be that kids must use the play field for all games, bikes etc which doesn't allow parents to sit on the pitch and watch the kids....but not the end of the world. Would recommend this site to anyone.

This site is excellent, the best we have ever stayed at. The owners cannot do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. Our dog was in his element, able to run off the lead in designated areas. The facilities are second to none and it has a very good restaurant. We could be served in the conservatory which does allow dogs. The views of Dartmoor were superb especially in the evenings when we watched the sun setting behind the moors. This is an ideal site for exploring South Devon. Only one problem. You need to book so far in advance to get a space on the site. Ross Park, Devon

I wish there was a 6th star for this park. Great reception on arrival and have to say it is a stunning park, with flowers everywhere and a nice warm feel to the place. What else can i say? Pitches great, toilets clean, loads of open space if you have children or dogs, even a dog shower, dont have a dog but can imagine it is useful! Thank you for a great holiday Ross Park, Devon

This has to be one of the best parks in the country . From the moment you arrive you cannot fail to be impressed by the cleanliness of the park and the helpfulness of it's staff , nothing is too much trouble . On arrival you are shown to your pitch and your caravan is sited for you , pitches are mostly divided by small hedges and both grass and hard standing are available, most have there own water supply . The toilet and showers consist of a number of self contained cubicles with shower, toilet and washbasin and a number of more conventional type shower cubicles, all are immaculately clean. The park has a small restaurant and bar which serves food each evening except Tuesday and a Sunday lunch second to none in the area , all are reasonably priced. Children are catered for with a wonderful play area and for older kid's there are table tennis tables , a pool table and a room with video games and TV . The park has views of Dartmoor and a walk around the park with it's conservation areas and beautiful flower displays is a treat in itself . Four legged friends are welcome, indeed it is a doggy heaven with a dog walk that has to be seen to be believed and even their own shower! . Open from March through until Christmas and New Year this park is worth a visit at any time of the year .

Arriving at the Park for the first time, we didn't know what to expect. No problem; you are greeted with a smile and friendly greeting and if you are wrinklies, like us, in need of any help with setting up, it is freely offered. We found all the staff exhibited the same level of cheerfulness and friendliness and the Park was like one big family. The beautifully manicured lawns, wonderful flower beds and baskets help to create a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. When sitting out you are likely to be visited by baby rabbits who know they have nothing to fear; we watched Robins feeding their young, a Blackbird busily collecting material for her nest, and - goodness me - where else would you see a Jay outside of a densely wooded area? The facilities are second to none; if you do not want to leave the site, there is no need to as everything imaginable has been provided for your comfort and convenience. From games rooms for the more active to a quiet seating area in the lovely restaurant where you can read, play board games, and even make yourself a cup of tea or coffee if you so wish. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the bar prices put most pubs and restaurants to shame! We believe Ross Park is one of the best value for money sites it is possible to find; coupled with pristine facilities, wonderful staff, the most attractive extensive grounds - believe me, if you are a caravanner and haven't visited Ross Park, then you really haven't lived!
