Directions
Access to Lemonford from the A38 main holiday route into Devon and Cornwall is very straightforward and well-signed.
From the Exeter Direction:
At the end of the M5 motorway continue south along the A38. After two miles the road forks; take the righ hand fork staying on the A38 heading towards plymouth. After 8 miles leave the A38 at the A382 turn-off (Drumbridges) signposted Newton Abbot, Bovey Tracey, Mortonhampstead. This turn-off leads on to a roundabout. Take the third exit off the roundabout signposted Liverton, Ilsington and Bickington. Stay on this road for three miles to Bickington, pass the Toby Jug Inn on your right, and at the bottom of the hill the site entrance is on your left.
From the Plymouth Direction:
Take the A38 towards Exeter. Leave the A38 at the A383 turn-off (Goodstone) signposted Newton Abbot. After crossing the A38 flyover take the first turning left to Bickington, at the bottom of the hill the site entrance is on your right.
This caravan park is very well looked after, clean and tidy with mostly hard standing pitches, nearly all have electric and water on the pitch.
toilets and showers are always clean with plenty of hot water, also j clothes for you to wipe around when you have done. good dishwashing area .
a small play area for the young ones to play on and plenty of room for a game of footie.
The shop have most of what you need bread milk etc. and the owners are more than helpfull.
A good base to visit the attractions around the area and there is plenty of them near bye.
Caravan spares shop to to far away for those forgoten items.
Now for the bad bits .
to many seasonal caravans taking up spaces so we were unable to get pitches together ,there were three units and it spoilt it having to be splitt up.
The night barrier closes at eleven oclock but we came back one night at 10.45 and could not get back in ,so spent the night on the car park not ideal.
The pub is not a place to walk back from on a dark night to many dark lanes and you wouldnt want to walk back along the river,
But all in all a nice place to stay for a few days.
