Glen Trothy Caravan Park is a quiet and tranquil park in the picturesque setting of the Welsh countryside, sitting in a great location on the edge of the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, while also being a short distance away from the sprawling Brecon Beacons National Park in the heart of Wales.
The site takes its name from the River Trothy, which runs along the boundary of the park. There is over 100 pitches in total, with fully serviced pitches available for caravans, while there is shared electricity and water hook ups for those with tents.
Glen Trothy is a family friendly holiday park, and in addition to the acres of wide open spaces for the kids to explore, there is an excellent adventure playground with apparatus and activates suitable for youngsters of all ages. There are opportunities to indulge in fishing and golf in the local area, while there are a number of excellent walking routes headed into further countryside or into more wooded areas.
This caravan park is in a great location for exploring the brilliant places across the whole of south and central Wales. In addition to Brecon Beacons, great transport links mean that accessing the motorway network and driving to Newport, Cardiff, and Swansea is always an option. If heading into England is of interest, then Cheltenham and Gloucester are a short drive away in the opposite direction.
Those who are looking to stay closer to the park itself will find winding country roads that give access to a number of small rural villages, all of which are friendly and offer local amenities such as welcoming pubs and independently owned businesses.
