South Meadows Caravan Park is open all year, and is one of the most beautiful holiday parks in Northumberland. Situated a short distance outside the picturesque village of Belford, South Meadows is a beautifully landscaped park with miles of woodland on your doorstep for exploring, relaxing, or enjoying a family picnic.
The park offers around 100 touring pitches for families with campervans and motorhomes, while there is also a luxurious holiday lodge that can be hired should you desire along with 8 glamping pods. The lodge benefits from its own private gardens and is excellent for a romantic break. In addition, if you wish to make Northumberland your usual holiday destination, you have the option to buy one of the luxury holiday homes available on the site. The 5 standard Glamping Pods offer 2 double beds and 1 single, all with comfortable foam mattresses, sleeping 2 adults and up to 3 small children or 4 adults with a fully fitted kitchenette with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, 2 hotplates and a sink, electricity points, an electric heater and hot and cold running water. Crockery and cutlery for 5 people, flat screen TV, WIFI available & private outdoor sitting area with furniture. The 2 Mid Range Pods offer the same as the basic pods but with the added benefit of a shower room with a toilet. We also offer 1 Luxury SPOD6 which sleeps up to 6 people including 2 children or 4 adults, the SPOD 6 benefits from a fully fitted kitchen, shower and toilet room and a seating and dining area. The SPOD 6 is set up to cater for 6 people.
Storage facilities are also available at South Meadows, so that if you wish to leave your caravan on-site, you can do for a small fee. Boats can also be kept on site, while there is a workshop with mechanics carrying out running repairs and servicing on your caravan, should you need it.
While South Meadows Caravan Park is all about the tranquil surroundings, you are only a few minutes' walk from the very best local amenities, including a golf course, small farm shop, a supermarket, and a number of local pubs.
The park benefits from excellent transport links and is just a short drive from the A1 trunk route, putting the small towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed within reachable distance, while Edinburgh or Newcastle-upon-Tyne are further away, but well worth the trip.
Northumberland National Park is a must for lovers of the outdoors, while a drive across to Holy Island off the Northumberland coast is also a fun experience, so long as you head back before the tide comes in, or else you will be stranded!

The park is open from 1 April until 31 October each year, and welcomes guests with tents, motorhomes and touring caravans. Seasonal pitches are available for tourists too, plus a range of excellent static caravans and a large holiday cottage are also available for hire.
Here you can choose between pitches with and without electric hook-ups, while there are also amenities blocks with toilets, basins and showers, a dishwashing area and secure parking away from the main camping and pitching area.
This is a family friendly and dog friendly campsite. The on-site children's play area is great for keeping the little ones entertained and there's space for dog walking, too. Owners are reminded to clear up after their dogs and keep them under control.
If you head into the village of Old Leake itself, you'll find a post office and some shops where you can pick up groceries, handy when you're self catering, as well as some pubs where you might like to enjoy a drink or something to eat.

You might like to visit Boston, which is just 20 minutes from this site by car. You'll find a wider range of shops and eateries here. Or for a traditional day beside the seaside maybe you would like to visit Skegness, which is a 20- to 30-minute drive away. To discover the coast away from the crowds, you might also like to go to the Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve.
Kids will love a visit to The Parrot Zoo, which is just a quarter of an hour's drive from The Old Leake Caravan and Camping Park, not forgetting the Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness. The Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre is also worth a trip and is within half an hour of this campsite by car.
If, however, you'd rather enjoy a round or two of golf on your camping and caravan holidays in Lincolnshire, you're very well served. Just 20 minutes by car from this park is Boston Golf Club, Boston West Golf Center and Seacroft Golf Club are both within a half hour drive, and Spalding Golf Club is just over 30 minutes away by car - and there are more courses, too.
Woodhall Spa - where there is another golf club! - is about a 40-minute drive from The Old Leake Caravan and Camping Park. Two unusual attractions found here are the Kinema in the Woods and the Jubilee Park Outdoor Swimming Pool.
Fancy going further afield? Visit Lincoln, which is about a 70-minute drive away. Its cobbled streets are lined with interesting shops, while the castle and cathedral are worth looking round. You can also explore the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on foot or on two wheels.
So you won't be short of things to see and do and you can be assured of a warm welcome when you stay at The Old Leake Caravan and Camping Park.
The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg)
Pwllheli, Gwynedd
The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) is set in a charming location for your holiday. Set in between 19 beaches each only 1.5 - 8 miles distance from the campsite. There is dense green countryside and the enchanting marine life on view. With excellent public transport links and all the necessary conveniences close by: a post office, shops, chemist, pubs and restaurants are all within the vicinity. We think you will genuinely enjoy your holiday at The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) Wales, and we have been featured in the Top 100 Sites Guide 2014, a trusted directory of the UK's best campsites compiled by Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines.
The site is cozily small, with just 22 touring pitches spanning a two-acre field. We cater to everyone: caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents. All pitches are level and well maintained, each one comes standard with a 16A electric hook-up and a boosted terrestial TV signal. We offer everything from grass pitches to fully serviced hardstanding. Our hardstanding pitches also include a water point. The field is divided into 3 regions one of which is adults only. We also offer self-catering static caravans, and several glamping options.
We have aimed to design the site to be comfortable for our guests — for campers for example, there is space to park your car alongside your tent. The site owners have tried to create a peaceful atmosphere, as such, ball games are not permitted in the field containing the pitches. There is however, a separate, grassy area nearby that is suitable for ball games. Views of both the sea and mountains are available with our premium pitches and self-catering Park Home static caravans.
For those with a taste for glamping, we have several 'Hobbit' pods all of which are warm and dry owing to the fact that they are insulated. The Hobbits each measure 16' by 8' giving your plenty of room to camp in style. Each one is kitted out with electric lighting and heating, extra power sockets and lockable doors. Why not enjoy your meals sitting around the included picnic table? You can use all the facilities on the campsite but you will need to provide your own bedding, towels and catering equipment for the pod itself.
The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) is very proud to offer the 'Eye-Pod', the only one of its kind in the world. The Eye-Pod is spherical glamping pod around 100 cubic feet larger than the campsite's Hobbits and a domed roof that gives a perfect view of the stars at night. The Eye-Pod even more luxurious than the Hobbits. The Eye-Pod comes's with all the luxury's of the Hobbits plus a TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, a table and seating area, a small fridge, a kettle, a heater, hooks, a mattress, lights with dimmer switches, more storage space , and even has French doors for an inside-outside camping experience!
Our sanitary blocks include first class shower and toilets, which come with shaver points and power sockets. For disabled users there is a special toilet and shower unit. There is a baby changing area which includes a baby bath.
The indoor dishwashing area has a microwave and a kettle. There is a free fridge/freezer facility, plus a well equipped laundry room with a drying area. The site also has free hot water, Wi-Fi and a chemical waste disposal point.
Our site is super dog friendly (in fact it was rated as the most pet friendly campsite in the Top 100 guide 2014!) the site has a field suitable for exercising your pet.
