The Garden Caravan Site

King's Lynn, Norfolk

We are a small family run site, it's fairly recently built, in a walled garden which is sheltered by a belt of large beech trees. We only have 30 pitches which cover the site in four different areas. We don't have a shop but are close to Docking, where there is all one needs. There are also lovely dog walks around the woods outside the site. The small office is not always attended, so guests are asked to pitch where they like and we will be around later.

All pitches at the site have electric and water hook-ups, while facilities provided at the park include heated showers and a toilet block. There's a separate field in which guests can pitch their tents - and campers also have access to all the park's facilities. A handy on-site shop stocks local produce as well as other holiday essentials. Guests planning to return to Stonham Barns Caravan and Camping Park in the future can take advantage of affordably priced caravan storage that is offered by the park's management. This campsite is part of the larger Stonham Barns Retail and Leisure Village. Guests staying at the park can take advantage of everything offered across the larger site and get involved with all the great activities and events that happen throughout the year. The Stonham Barns Showground has events taking place each week, including car shows, craft fairs, car boot sales and much more. The open space is usually available throughout the week for ball games and other fun-filled family activities. In addition to the convenience store found on the caravan park, the retail village has a number of exceptional shops, where guests can buy everything from quirky holiday gifts such as pottery and jewellery to clothes and even a new family pet! The restaurant is open all year round and is regularly used by those who've pitched at this site. It serves food and drinks throughout the day and has a diverse menu that caters for all tastes. The fishing lake at the site is a great place to spend a day, whether guests are experienced anglers or have only just discovered this increasingly popular hobby. There's also a nine-hole golf course and a sizeable driving range. Guests looking to relax while not doing too much at all can check out the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary within the complex, which has daily bird shows as well as offering woodland walks and some great activities for children. If you want to visit Suffolk on your camping and caravan holidays, there are lots of things to do - and as this campsite is located just a short way off the A140, it's very accessible and positioned in such a way that it is easy to get out and see the county. Stonham Barns is about a half hour drive north of Ipswich and about a half hour drive east of Bury St Edmunds. You also explore the Suffolk coastline. There's the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Suffolk Coast National Nature Reserve. Or maybe a traditional day beside the seaside appeals? If so, you could drive to Lowestoft in about an hour.
