Woodhall Country Park
Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire
Woodhall Country Park is a award winning caravan & camping site. Set in lovely parkland, with many wooded areas, this site was designed in conjunction with Natural England, and therefore a popular habitat for animals, birds, butterflies and reptiles.
This site is listed in the Top 100 Sites Guide from Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome and Caravan Sitefinder, meaning it's one of the best campsites in the UK. And as one of just nine campsites in the Eastern England section of this go-to guide, it is also one of the best sites in the region.
Woodhall Country Park welcomes caravans, motorhomes and tents. At this site you'll find 80 serviced, hardstanding pitches, all of which have electric and water hook-ups, as well as drainage for foul and grey water. In addition, there are 8 hardstanding pitches with electric & water hook-ups, as well as 28 grass pitches that are also serviced, and they are suitable for caravans or large tents, plus there are two specific camping areas.
The washrooms at this campsite are spacious and tidy, with showers, basins and toilets, as well as facilities for disabled visitors; each also has washing up areas, and chemical toilet points. If you're camping, you can use the food preparation area, where there's a microwave and a kettle, sinks and a freezer. Everyone is welcome to enjoy herbs from the site's herb garden.
There are also a range of pod options at Woodhall Country Park in Lincolnshire - prices start at just £35 per night, per pod. There are six camping pods, each of which has a double bed and room for a travel cot, electric sockets, a picnic bench and tea/coffee making facilities. Just bring your bedding and kitchen/cooking gear. Pets aren't permitted here.
But that's not all. There are six Sky camping pods too, each of which has a double bed and a pair of bunk beds, so can accommodate two adults and two children. As with the regular pods, pets and smoking aren't allowed and you just need to bring bedding and cooking equipment, cutlery and plates.
We also have you luxury lodges where you can stay for a week or two or just have a short break over the weekend, Relax in the hot tub with a lake view in our quite country park. We have lodges that are pet friendly and also have some that have ramps for those who need it. Lodges are in use 365 days of the year so no need to worry when you can get the luxury break you need.
If you're a fan of fishing, you will be pleased to learn that there is a trio of well-stocked fishing lakes for anglers to enjoy - one day"s fishing on a single rod costs £5. Bike hire is also available. And if golf takes your fancy, head to Woodhall Spa Golf Club which is very close to the site.
Jubilee Park Outdoor Swimming Pool is nearby, as is The Kinema in the Woods, the only fully functioning cinema in the UK to employ back projection. These are both on the edge of the Lincolnshire village of Woodhall Spa, which has a number of pubs, bakeries and cafes to keep you well fed on your motorhome, camping and caravan holidays, giving you a break from cooking.
The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just waiting for you to explore if you're pitched at Woodhall Country Park. There's also the city of Lincoln with its castle and cathedral, which will take you around 40 minutes to drive to.

Greenhills Holiday Park

Greenhills Caravan & Camping Park is situated in the picturesque Derbyshire town of Bakewell. Ideally situated and surrounded by the the slopes of the lower Wye Valley. An excellent centre from which to explore the many places of interest to be found in the surrounding area. Set in 12 acres of beautiful countryside, surrounded by the slopes of the lovely Wye Valley, the Park can accommodate 70 touring units, all of which have 16 amp electrical hook up points, as well as 100 tent pitches on three separate camping fields.
The pitches at the top of the tourer field are level and carry uninterrupted views of the countryside, with shelter being provided by the mixed woodland along either side.
There are also two fields dedicated to privately owned caravan holiday homes.
The amenities on the park are modern and well-maintained.
Glencote Caravan Park

Glencote Caravan Park is a family run campsite situated on the Staffordshire moorlands, a fab location if you're looking to visit Alton Towers!
The site holds many different awards including, The Top 100 Sites Guide 2014 produced by Practical Caravan, Practical Motorhome & Caravan Sitefinder, The park has been in the Top 100 Sites Guide every year since 2011. The park has also achieved a David Bellamy Gold Conservation Award.
The park welcomes guests with caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents. With 74 hardstanding touring plots, seasonal pitches are also available, and you can buy a holiday home on the site too.
Glencote has many facilities on the site, such as electrical hook ups to every plot, heated washrooms, Internet access, a laundry room, an area for ball games and also dishwashing facilities. There is a special maintained area where the park encourages wildlife.
Westwood Golf Club is nearby the park if you fancy a round of golf on your trip away, there are many other nearby activities. If you are looking for a bit more action Derby is only an hour away from the site, Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent are both only half an hour away. There are plenty supermarkets and shops in these areas as well as many pubs, cafe's and restaurants too which is great if you feel like a night without having to cook or do the washing up!

The park is open all year round and accepts guests with Touring Caravans & Motorhomes. There is a range of seasonal pitches available also. All pitches on the site are hard standing and all have electricity, water and grey sewage facilities. There is chemical waste and waste water disposal throughout the site.
The park has a toilet and shower block available on site, a washing area, Calor Gas available to purchase or canister exchanges. There is also high speed WiFi. The reception desk is available for tourist information if required.

Orchard Park Touring Caravan & Camping Park

Orchard Park Touring Caravan & Camping Park is a beautiful holiday destination, found in the heart of Nottinghamshire in the small and charming village of Tuxford.
This campsite is ideal for families looking for a quiet break within reach of Nottinghamshire's most popular attractions, and is open from mid-March until mid-November every year.
The site welcomes guests with motorhomes, touring caravans and tents to the site. Hardstanding pitches are available, while all of the 'mixed use' pitches, that are suitable for all units, benefit from electric hook-ups. The park sits on a mature fruit orchard, with the natural layout of greenery at the site ensuring all pitches give those staying there some degree of privacy.
Facilities found at Orchard Park Touring Caravan & Camping Park include an amenities block with toilets, basins, showers and a coin operated laundrette, while there are also recycling points and chemical waste disposal points, and four fresh water stand pipes are found across the park. The site also has a small shop stocking essential groceries, while Calor Gas and Camping Gaz canisters can be exchanged at the park. A tourist information hut has a generous selection of leaflets to help guests plan their day out in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Wi-Fi is available for guests to use for a small additional charge.

Mansfield is a modern town and is home to a brilliant open-air market, as well as having a number of first class leisure facilities including sports centres and a new cinema, shopping and eating multiplex - it is about a 40-minute drive from this campsite.
