Pwllheli, Gwynedd
The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) is set in a charming location for your holiday. Set in between 19 beaches each only 1.5 - 8 miles distance from the campsite. There is dense green countryside and the enchanting marine life on view. With excellent public transport links and all the necessary conveniences close by: a post office, shops, chemist, pubs and restaurants are all within the vicinity. We think you will genuinely enjoy your holiday at The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) Wales, and we have been featured in the Top 100 Sites Guide 2014, a trusted directory of the UK's best campsites compiled by Practical Motorhome and Practical Caravan magazines.
The site is cozily small, with just 22 touring pitches spanning a two-acre field. We cater to everyone: caravans, campervans, motorhomes and tents. All pitches are level and well maintained, each one comes standard with a 16A electric hook-up and a boosted terrestial TV signal. We offer everything from grass pitches to fully serviced hardstanding. Our hardstanding pitches also include a water point. The field is divided into 3 regions one of which is adults only. We also offer self-catering static caravans, and several glamping options.
We have aimed to design the site to be comfortable for our guests — for campers for example, there is space to park your car alongside your tent. The site owners have tried to create a peaceful atmosphere, as such, ball games are not permitted in the field containing the pitches. There is however, a separate, grassy area nearby that is suitable for ball games. Views of both the sea and mountains are available with our premium pitches and self-catering Park Home static caravans.
For those with a taste for glamping, we have several 'Hobbit' pods all of which are warm and dry owing to the fact that they are insulated. The Hobbits each measure 16' by 8' giving your plenty of room to camp in style. Each one is kitted out with electric lighting and heating, extra power sockets and lockable doors. Why not enjoy your meals sitting around the included picnic table? You can use all the facilities on the campsite but you will need to provide your own bedding, towels and catering equipment for the pod itself.
The Willows Abersoch (Yr Helyg) is very proud to offer the 'Eye-Pod', the only one of its kind in the world. The Eye-Pod is spherical glamping pod around 100 cubic feet larger than the campsite's Hobbits and a domed roof that gives a perfect view of the stars at night. The Eye-Pod even more luxurious than the Hobbits. The Eye-Pod comes's with all the luxury's of the Hobbits plus a TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, a table and seating area, a small fridge, a kettle, a heater, hooks, a mattress, lights with dimmer switches, more storage space , and even has French doors for an inside-outside camping experience!
Our sanitary blocks include first class shower and toilets, which come with shaver points and power sockets. For disabled users there is a special toilet and shower unit. There is a baby changing area which includes a baby bath.
The indoor dishwashing area has a microwave and a kettle. There is a free fridge/freezer facility, plus a well equipped laundry room with a drying area. The site also has free hot water, Wi-Fi and a chemical waste disposal point.
Our site is super dog friendly (in fact it was rated as the most pet friendly campsite in the Top 100 guide 2014!) the site has a field suitable for exercising your pet.
