Pinewoods Holiday Park

Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk

Pinewoods Holiday Park is a beautiful holiday park found on the edge of the North Norfolk Heritage Coast area, close to the village of Wells-Next-the-Sea. Open all year, the park welcomes guests for tent, motorhome and caravan holidays, and is a family friendly park. In addition to the large number of pitches available, guests can also choose to stay in the holiday homes for hire and rent static holiday caravans at the campsite. Pinewoods Holiday Park also offers holiday homes and holiday caravans for sale in North Norfolk. When you choose to make Pinewoods your family holiday destination you will find a range of campsite facilities on offer to ensure that whatever your accommodation, you'll have all you need for your holidays. There are shower blocks, toilets, and a laundrette on site, while the handy campsite store stocks essential camping supplies as well as groceries, and cold drinks, and is licenced to sell wines, beers, and spirits, too. There is a friendly coffee shop at Pinewoods Holiday Park, too, so you'll be able to relax with drinks and delicious cakes, soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying sitting in the beautiful park surroundings. The coffee shop also allows guests to take advantage of the Wi-Fi on the park, while outdoor seating makes it the perfect place to relax during the summer months. There are plenty of things to do on-site, with a number of great attractions that will keep the whole family - but especially the children - entertained. The children's play area is always popular, while the park's trampolines and miniature railway are always favourites with the younger generations, too. There is also a large boating lake where kayaks, canoes, and rowing boats can be hired. If you have your own boat, make sure you talk to someone at the park reception desk before heading to Pinewoods, as you may be able to bring your boat on holiday and set off out to sea, though they aren't allowed on the campsite's lake. If you enjoy cycling holidays in Norfolk, it's worth knowing that the area around Pinewoods Holiday Park is famous for offering some of the most picturesque cycling routes in the area. As well as being close to a number of routes on the National Cycle Network, Pinewoods also offers easy access to a number of additional trails and popular cycling journeys. Bike hire is available from the campsite, either by the day or by the week. Of course you are always free to bring your own bicycles if you're planning to explore Norfolk countryside on your own two wheels. If you are looking for a more relaxing experience during your Norfolk holiday, we recommend that you visit the Norfolk Heritage Coast, with its beautiful sandy beaches, and Holkham National Nature Reserve on foot. Both of these famously beautiful areas have plenty of spots for fishing and open spaces for sitting down and enjoying a family picnic. Although small, Wells-Next-the-Sea has a number of quaint shops and eateries, where guests can pick up almost anything they desire on holiday. Despite being a popular tourist village, Wells always has a slow pace even when very busy, and is definitely somewhere you can go when you want to feel that you truly have no cares in the world. We suggest you should head to the waterfront in Wells to enjoy freshly caught seafood as it comes in. While you're in this area, The Globe Inn and The Victoria Hotel are highly recommended. Pinewoods Holiday Park is a wonderful base for all types of camping, motorhome and caravan holidays in Norfolk, being close to the best areas to explore while also offering plenty to do without travelling far from the park itself.

Town Farm Camping & Caravanning

Leighton Buzzard, Buckinghamshire

Situated just outside the village of Ivinghoe in Buckinghamshire, off the B489, near the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire borders and at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, Town Farm Camping & Caravanning is quite a new campsite, but has a lot to offer. Based at Town Farm, a working farm, this peaceful campsite is open all year round and welcomes guests in caravans, motorhomes, campervans, trailer tents and tents - there are no designated pitches, its beauty is its informality. There are also pre-pitched Karsten handmade tents and cottages on site that you can rent, meaning it's a campsite that many people can enjoy time at. At Town Farm Camping & Caravanning you'll find everything you need for your motorhome tour or camping and caravan holiday in Buckinghamshire. There are indoor and outdoor showers, male and female toilets, a disabled toilet and shower, washing up facilities, a tumble dryer and washing machine, electric hook-ups and a chemical waste disposal point. To keep you entertained, you can get online, or enjoy a game of tennis on the tennis court, or take the kids to the children's play area. And, as this is a family campsite, guests are reminded that there is a no noise policy in place after 11pm - no music of any kind is permitted on site. Hook-ups are £2.50 a night. In addition, Duke of Edinburgh parties are welcomed. The site has good drainage and visitors will be able to enjoy fantastic views over the Vale of Aylesbury. Stay here and you'll also be able to enjoy the fun of cooking al fresco, as fire pits can be hired, there is dry, seasoned wood for sale, and small open fires and barbecues are allowed, so long as they're raised off the ground so as to not damage the grass. It is also handy to know that this is a dog friendly campsite, your four-legged friends costing £2 per night, by prior arrangement. Owners must keep their dogs on a lead at all times and must clean up after them. Town Farm Camping & Caravanning has a rural, away from it feel, but it is also very well connected, meaning you'll never be short of things to do on your camping and caravan holidays. A day out at ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will be great fun for all the family - and it's just a 10-minute drive from this campsite. And as you're staying in such a pretty area, why not explore the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Grand Union Canal also passes very close to Town Farm Camping & Caravanning, and you can enjoy gentle ambles along the tow path, or perhaps book a boat ride. The 223m high Ivinghoe Beacon is also very near this campsite, this the place where two famous paths meet, the Icknield Way and The Ridgeway. Indeed, if walking holidays are your cup of tea, there are plenty of miles to explore in this area. If you need to top up your holiday supplies, Tring is only 10 minutes from this site by car and Berkhamsted is about a 20-minute drive away. If you need to go somewhere a bit bigger, it's a 20-minute drive to Aylesbury, about a quarter of an hour to Dunstable, half an hour to Luton and 20 minutes to Leighton Buzzard. Its idyllic setting and useful location mean that if you're searching for campsites in the Chilterns to give you the best of both worlds on your motorhome and campervan tours or camping and caravan holidays, perhaps you should give Town Farm Camping and Caravanning a try.

Tobacconist Farm

Stroud, Gloucestershire

Tobacconist Farm is a campsite in the Cotswolds. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty overlooking farmland and just a few minutes by foot from the village of Minchinhampton and its vast Common with great views of the surrounding countryside, this family-run camping and caravan site has been open since spring 2012. Here you will find 20 generously sized pitches, many of which feature mains electric hook-up. There is also an over-flow field for rallies which does not have electric hook-up, but is the site of the fire pit and barbecue. The campsite has modern washing, shower and toilet facilities, with generous family showers and a disabled shower and toilet. In addition, there are indoor/outdoor washing up facilities, a fridge/freezer, a kettle, a washing machine and a laundry area. Many visitors will be pleased to learn that there are places on the campsite where you can charge your mobile phone. There is also a children's play area and you're invited to enjoy chairs kept by the shower block, fire pits and barbecues. Tents, motorhomes and caravans are welcome at this campsite. And if you fancy something a little different, Tobacconist Farm has an arrangement with Cotswold Bells, meaning you can sleep in a cotton canvas bell tent - it will be set up and ready for use when you arrive. This is certainly luxury camping in the Cotswolds. The campsite has a car park to keep your car whilst on site, with cars only welcome by the pitches when loading or unloading. As the campsite's name suggests, this is also a modest working farm, with free range pigs, chickens, ducks, cattle and donkeys - there is even a highland cow. You can buy any groceries from the corner shop in the centre of Minchinhampton, just a few minutes' walk away, or there is a local farm shop a few minutes' drive along the A419 towards Cirencester, which also has lunch options in an Airstream caravan. Dogs are welcome, by prior arrangement. However, due to this being a working farm where chickens and ducks are allowed to roam freely, all dogs must be kept on their leads at all times. There are nearby public footpaths where you can exercise your four-legged friends, including one with direct access from the site. Visitors are reminded that they must clear up after their dogs - there is a bin provided for bagged waste. Yet it isn't just Minchinhampton that is near the campsite at Tobacconist Farm. The beautiful Gloucestershire countryside is ready for you to discover. If you like walking holidays, you're in luck, but you can also go cycling, horse riding or gliding nearby. Or maybe you'd rather play golf, or explore the National Trust owned Minchinhampton and Rodborough Commons. Just a 10 minute drive away is Nailsworth with a diverse collection of shops and local crafts traders. The pretty village of Slad is worth a visit for it's connections to Laurie Lee and the charming Woolpack Inn. Stroud is only about a quarter of an hour away by car, the market town of Cirencester about a 20-minute drive away and pretty Malmesbury around half an hour away. And if you want to venture a little further afield, Bristol is still less than an hour away from this charming little campsite in the Cotswolds. So if you're looking for somewhere to stay during your camping and caravan holidays in the Cotswolds, Tobacconist Farm might be quite a new campsite, but it has a lot to offer.
